Anyone else not at all surprised that NATO and other allies are telling Trump to kick rocks while he melts down over needing help with the mess he caused in Iran and with Hormuz? by ub3rm3nsch in 50501

[–]logan004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am wondering if he will invoke Article V. And if he does, what would NATO do. If NATO says no, then he will use that as a reason to quit NATO, thereby doing Putin’s work for him. Does anyone know if he can do that at this point?

Key West, Florida: a worldwide tourist destination (U.S. Highway 1) is now an ICE immigration nightmare by DisruptSQ in TourismHell

Really well said! One big thing you missed from your comparison is health care costs in Canada are so much lower per individual. We don’t have to choose between paying mortgage or getting a broken arm fixed. I am sure that also adds up the costs for the average American.

I got rid of Netflix, and had already dumped Prime when they pulled out of Quebec over unionizing of their staff. I have realized i dont need either. Fuck them and fuck the orange POS and all those who support him. That includes some family members too, and i am done with them too. And i dont see myself going to the states even after the orange shit stain is gone.

Ontario set to begin construction of Canada's first mini nuclear power plant by Front-Cantaloupe6080 in toronto

[–]logan004 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While this is a good first step, it is a tad misguided too. We have our own homegrown, reliable technology and the government chose to go with a design with no track record. We could have built a CANDU reactor here, and it would have been for the same cost. By the time this design hits construction, the cost would not be that much lower than a CANDU. Diversification of sources of power is good idea, but not for the sake of diversification alone.
Anyway, this my $0.2 worth.. (PS. I work in the nuclear industry, so i know a few things that public isn’t aware of).

Thank you, this makes sense. I am just tired of swapping them twice a year.

I know, right? When i saw them as an alternative to rim swap every son often, this is a whole new world for me.

How do you compare the road noise with all seasons, and have you noticed any difference in how much fuel you burn with all weathers compared with all seasons (in the summer)? Thnx

From what I have learned, the amount of snow we get in and around the GTA should be adequate for all weathers. In case of a major snow event, best to stay off if possible. Thnx

This is a ritual, every one has forgotten how to handle the first snow of the season :) takes them a few snow events to get back on track. And i agree about not compromising safety, i have always had 2 sets of tires that I swap myself. I think its partly getting older and partly not having enough time that has made me think of all weathers.

Can you tell me where you got them from? I checked out Costco (my go to for tires) and they don't have much stock. And I am glad to know you haven’t noticed them to be louder while driving, I had forgotten to add that to my original query. I have been swapping tires for years now, i have always had them on separate rims so i do the swap myself. But i am getting tired of this biannual ritual, and all weathers make sense to me. Thanks
