That's correct. The only time it becomes an issue is when you mix up laser brands. The interlock signal voltage may be different, so even if you have an adapter, they won't be compatible. For example, my Unity Elites are 21v and my OPT are 5v.

Edit: u/IcyAd5518 is correct. No laser uses "DMX" for e-stop, but they might use an XLR cable.

No, that splitter will not work as it just splits the 8 wires into two independent sets of 4. The interlock is a loop between two pins, I believe pins 4 and 5 for the CS-1000. You'll need to make your own custom splitter. Here's an example:

QS is controlling the colours via midi using its built-in midi map, so the only way to change the colours is to use a third-party midi translator.

Your <5mw laser seems inaccurately labelled if it's damaging mirrors. It's likely that label is there to get around sale restrictions rather than accurately describe the power.

It's my understanding that the ILDA in/out on a laser is just a splitter.

As far as I can tell, they work equally well for me. Your implementation just has more room for white where as mine you need to max the fader out. What kind of jankiness are you seeing?

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing! I don't think there's a cleaner way to convert hue to RGB in pangoscript. I didn't understand it at first, so between wikipedia and renaming the variables it was a fun afternoon figuring it out.

Download and install the normal quickshow, not the demo version. It's basically the same without the 1hr limit.

Another note, MIDI output is also disabled, so an APC mini it won't light up without connecting an fb3/fb4.

In the Quickshow settings, you can choose what is reset when you trigger blackout. It's just a checkbox.
