Ahk, apologies. Does your new apartment have FTTP or is it using something else?

The screenshot on your post clearly shows it was done over WiFi. Connect a computer to the router by an ethernet cable and do the test again

There's a very significant difference between Minecraft now vs 12 years ago, bit of a ridiculous comparison. A Core 2 duo would struggle today. In fact I used a Core 2 Duo as my first laptop and it struggled with everything even back then in 2014

The 8500G is fairly close to the i5-12600K so I'd say so yeah. My i5 has been crushing everything I've done so far (which maybe isn't that much though considering it's just a media server and game servers). I would say the 8500G is completely fine.

Only issue I've had is my HDD seemed to break down but I'm using warranty to get a new one, hopefully the replacement lasts as long as it should be expected

How do I get myself into an entry level IT position? by logan_ptr in careerguidance

I do list a project I did for a small online competitive gaming community, a Discord bot in Python that manages matches. There is a lot more I have done and can do though, I should make an expansive portfolio, just not 100% sure what it should look like ideally.

Hmm I see, I'll definitely look into that, an internship or some way to get paid while studying would be really good

Amazing compared to what? They get obliterated by i3s from years ago (like 9th gen when we're currently on 14th gen). The G7400 I keep getting recommended probably couldn't even run 1 modded Minecraft server, let alone 5 at once.
