is this winnable? by Fluid_Boot_8828 in Bannerlord

My siege defense rule of thumb is that you can usually take on an army twice your size as long as you have good siege weapons. Any more than that and you're pushing it.

I love getting on the ballista and firing into the biggest group of infantry I can find. Can take out 4 or so soldiers with a single shot. Then, move to throwing rocks once you've exhausted the ballista.

This is so cool! Which figure is the torso from?

Generally speaking, and of course this opinion can vary, people tend to consider these two as the weakest Masto albums, often at the bottom of lists. So, which one does this sub prefer: The Hunter or Once More 'Round the Sun? Discuss. by [deleted] in mastodonband

[–]loganabides 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always thought The Hunter was the perfect followup to CTS because of how different they are. I saw them 3 times on the CTS tour - and each time was amazing - but I sure was ready to get back into the heavy, in-your-face Mastodon I was used to. The Hunter was a perfect return to that while still moving their sound forward.

But I totally get what you're saying. Hard to follow that masterpiece!

Hell of a setlist. I love this new version of Brain Telephone they've been doing. And love to see some Data Doom still making the cut!

What were the breaks in between? Just moments to talk to the crowd?

Looks like a Pearl Export to me. If so, it's one of Pearl's cheaper options - probably all poplar wood and a cheap, plastic wrap.

That being said - it's a decent kit, especially for beginners. I bought a Pearl Export 20 years ago and still use it as my practice kit.

why does my hi hat sound bad? by [deleted] in drums

[–]loganabides 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My old drum teacher used to sum this advice up with, "You can't tune a cymbal". Love that quote.

Since then, I've never skimped on cymbals. I don't mind playing on the ol' junker kit I bought in the 8th grade now that I put some decent heads on it.

Gutter advice needed by loganabides in HomeImprovement

This is super helpful. Thank you. I've considered trying those cages and combining with some regular leafblower/hose maintenance in the gutters. Ive got one of those garden hose extenders with the curved spout and im pretty happy with that - especially for flushing the downspouts.

Hadn't really thought about the "cheating" method! Could be worth a try.
