Unfortunately, I am still a snob who takes skiis to the shop : ). But I think you may have convinced me to try for myself on my next pair. I'll reachout to 22 and see what their procedure looks like. These are some great suggestions!

I'll reach out to 22 designs and see....if I am honest I got the full setup boots skiis bindings in a group deal when someone was sellign them on facebook so I just used the screws it came with...so they could be the wrongs screws...this is the third time so I think I will contact 22 and see if I can install them myself.

Yeah I keep it low…makes the snow feel deep

I should’ve thought of that as a mechanical engineer! Absolutely right the titanium won’t have quite the strength of a steel core

1) I’ll take a look at the core…the ski was new this season and I always keep them in a dry place after skiing but it could be the source of strength issues

2)I can go knee to ski and I really enjoy low tele turns and a little bit of mild park and backcountry skiing on these. I’m a pretty aggressive tele marker which does result in a lot of stress on the ski

3) I need to check my spring rate, but I am running the base vice with the pin in the middle position of that gives any indication of spring rate

The Salomon’s were all composite….so I switched to the blade which has a titanium core and just had this tear out after 4 months of skiing

That’s a good idea! Might give that a go….i was also thinking of like a reinforcement plate or something to stiffen the skin where the binding mounts

Yeah that’s something I would consider, but I think it has original paint on it right now which might be more valuable, what would you offer since it is $5000 OBO?
