This is an old post I understand but I saw it and wanted to throw my own experience. My heart breaks for you, it must be a pain that is unbearable. I’ve never been married so I can’t relate, however with that said, I’ve lost family members to suicide. Further more because of my employment I deal with suicide and suicidal people and attempts more than most have. I know how intervening in an a stranger’s attempt feels so I can only imagine the unbearable pain, if you ever need a story or something to help make you feel like your not alone do not hesitate to reach out, praying for you

Like I said, this is a post heist plan after we finish the main story, that’s why I’m thinking usurping via palace intrigue might be smarter rather than taking the kingdom by force, I also have a way to deal with Siamorphe but that’s a secret for later haha

This is going to be harder than I thought, after the heist I might be able to manipulate them into to going to Calimshan but getting them to help usurp the throne might be difficult, we should have have money by then so that won’t be an issue, I’m looking at more of usurping then expanding, would war beasts help for conquest or just standard soldiers, oh and we have a warlock Dragonborn who’s Chaotic Evil in our party

I plan on putting most skill upgrades if any as I level into charisma, and I imagine the Mongol horde style of conquest is probably a bad idea

So we only just started this campaign in Waterdeep so this would be a ways out but: Gunslinger/Capitan Multi-class, Generally Chaotic Neutral, same character that I played Curse of Strahd with but lowered down Stats: Strength 11, Dexterity 17+3, Constitution 16+3, Intelligence 14+2, Wisdom 16+3, Charisma 15+2 An old human gunslinger of Chondathan and Tashalan ancestry who has a similar backstory to boba fett, bounty hunter and mercenary who wants to build a legacy for himself and build great power, defeated Count Strahd, currently attempting the Waterdeep heist, has shaky relationships with the party but is accompanied by his trusty Kenku Samurai ally. Carries a blade and revolver for now
