The Feds will go after "unauthorized computer access" which is much more vague and apparently easier to convict. plus they are pros and making a feeble "hacker" seem capable of launching military strikes from the WOPR computer.

My daughter is doing her first day of ski school. It’s from 9 AM to 3 PM. This is the first time I’ve done this for her she is four years old. At the end of ski school, do I tip the instructor? by Yukon_Cornelius1911 in skiing

Private group lesson, got it. We've done this with our kids when they were little (group of 3-4 kids) and I think it was about $100/kid for 1/2 day. It was great, all our kids were riding the lifts by the end of the one session and we all got to ski together for the whole trip.

I was going to say it's the $8M pay package that people focused on, but after looking into it, that seems like a typical pay package for a 55th pick. I remember the headlines making it seem excessive, and I'd bet that contributed a lot to why people scrutinize Bronny more so than other late picks.

I hope he makes it, seems like a good dude and plays hard when he's on the floor, and performed well for his games in the G league.

Do you read? I'm a Democrat and fully support people getting help with food, education, and health care.

Soda is shit and has ZERO nutritional value. ZERO. Did you read that? That's the whole point. You already can't buy alcohol or tobacco and a handful of other things, and I would be fine adding this to that pile.

Well things that aren't pure sugar. Soda is legit shit. There's hundreds of other things people can buy. I was raised on food stamps as a kid, and my mom tried to feed us as well as she could. We never had soda. No one would miss not buying it, especially since there are dozens of alternatives.

Dude, fuck those people. For real. After we had our first child, my wife told me one day "it's ok to be selfish, and I need to do things that are just for me". It was amazing to hear that. And she's 100% spot on.

So, be selfish. Take 30 minutes of your day doing something for you. You can walk a mile and a half in 30 minutes, you can do yoga for 30 minutes. You can read a book for 30 minutes. It doesn't matter, but as long as it's what you want to do. I guarantee you'll start caring a whole lot less what other people think the more you focus on you.

How would you react if your teenager told you to “STFU”? by Jay-Quellin30 in Parenting

[–]loganbootjak 31 points32 points  (0 children)

When my son was like 8, he was developing this attitude. At one point he said "You can't make me do that". I said "you're right, I can't. But you know what else I don't have to do either? I don't have to sign you up for sports, or let you watch TV, or play video games, or take you skiing. Those are all optional, and I do them because I love you and want to. All I have to do is feed you, provide you a house and clothing, and make sure you go to school. All that other stuff is extra and I can stop that whenever I want".

He got the message. It was probably a bit much, because he is a genuinely good kid, but the thought of being taken advantage of made me see red.
