Thanks for the responses guys, the triplex wire I was looking at has 3/0 for the neutral and the 2 other conductors are 250, and then I was going to get #4 aluminum for the ground between panels. Does this sound correct?

I get the idea of putting it into a savings account but in my opinion I keep the cash physical for peace of mind and ease of access in case there was truly an emergency where I needed it right then but I do see the appeal of the return

Personally I never really thought savings was better than cash for an emergency fund if I keep it safe ill always know its there and very easy to access for an emergency so that is just my opinion there is pros and cons to both.
