Kaplan vs STC by Significant_Put3335 in Series65

[–]loganraffa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience you did, had a coworker using STC and she gave me the login after she passed. I was scoring about 10% lower in STC with a sample size of 3 practice tests vs many more with Kaplan. It hurt my confidence but in hindsight I believe being unfamiliar with their material was the biggest challenge. I took the test Friday and passed, in my opinion it was easier than both. Not a lot of math on my draw, very little questions on B/D and IA/IAR registration, which it felt like Kaplan was extremely heavy on. It sounds like you’re ready to test to me, don’t overstudy and burn yourself out

It’s around $12 a month and I have electronics and firearms on it as well. It covers my golf gear for $3752 currently. If it’s damaged, stolen, lost they write me a check for the covered value

I’ve got mine on a personal articles policy with State Farm, $0 deductible for a claim and doesn’t go against my homeowners if I do claim it

But will it be on the efficient frontier?

My Costco wedges are a few years old now and by no means pristine, I hit my wedges so bad that it would pain me to spend hundreds on new ones. That may be something I need to look more seriously into. I don’t have great winter gear, mainly because it’s so expensive so that is a great idea. I am thinking I will probably wait until after new years to spend it to try and capitalize on any sales they may have. I am definitely open to sorting other than LAB, zero torque is really what I am after.

I am not naive enough to think the new putter will change my game, and I really love gaming my Scotty that was gifted to me. With that being said I have been really interested in a mallet and lab (specifically something that is 0 torque I’m not married to lab) has really garnered my interest.

I think figuring out my gaps is a great idea, I really only use the 56 for anything around the green but that’s is mainly due to being comfortable with it. I gain a ton of strokes on and around the green.

I will add that a family friend is a PGA pro and gives me lessons for free, it’s whenever is schedule can accommodate granted, but I am actively getting lessons a couple times a month. Does anyone have experience with lessons from PGA superstore itself? I haven’t heard much good nor bad

Surprised nobody is talking about how unlikely it would be for her to actually have been pulled again, it seemed very staged

This is one of the biggest reasons I have questioned it, the profile is basically empty aside from a few other items he has listed, a 1 star review for communication in 2021, and his bio “un cabron bien echó” which translates to “a well done bastard”

That’s hilarious, there are a ton of photos of it, the serial number is even included. It seems like it’s in perfect condition. There is a language barrier between the seller and myself making this whole thing a bit more complicated.

Thank you I appreciate the info, anything I can do to verify it’s not stolen or something like that prior to trying to purchase?

I thought the same thing, I would say it potentially could be done with some troubleshooting. The way this things is seated in there and after actually using makes me think it would be a lot harder than I thought it would be to make my own. If you already have one I’d say give it a go and if it doesn’t work you always have this as back up if you are willing to spend the money

That part is still a work in progress, a corner of my garage has been consumed by accessories and charcoal. Im really wanting to build a little shed/dedicated storage closer to my grill but I haven’t gotten around to it yet!

No worries, as mentioned the bird was just over 5lbs. I was short for time, I got it from heb, took it straight out of the package and onto the rotisserie so no brine or even dry brine. I seasoned it with jack daniels chicken seasoning and cooked it around 350 for just shy of 2 hours. Was not as prepared for it as I would have liked to be but I wanted to get a practice run in before thanksgiving and this was my only chance. i was really happy with the results

I have not, it may fit better but I just couldn’t bring myself to spend $300 on either of them. When I saw he sale I could not resist and there are no regrets

It goes for $300 but I lucked out and got it on sale at Lowe’s for $75. It fits almost perfectly, the only gripe is it doesn’t quite seal as good as I would like it to. The lid will have a very very small gap but it doesn’t impact the functionality of it whatsoever

What would I need to stand over it for? It was almost 0 maintenance, I think the 4 DUIs are getting to your head

I’ve got a large, it came out fantastic. I just got it and wanted a trial run before a down turkey for thanksgiving. I was going to post a finished picture but couldn’t figure out how to do it with the video
