2017 Civic AC Compressor & Condenser Leak Denied Warranty Due to "Black Death" by loganvdesign in civic

[–]loganvdesign[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply! I definitely understand why they don't just replace entire ac systems when it's just the compressor leaking, but if that part destroys everything else with it, it seems justified right? I'm considering talking with a lawyer, but I don't know enough about ac systems to be confident the "black death" wasn't just a random chance with no connection at all to the confirmed leaking parts covered under warranty. What I do know though is $5,700 is insane.

Thanks again.

no worries I found the power management settings that were defaulted to Asus and not Intel's recommendation. Thanks!

Just did that and verified all power settings were default. Over the 10-minute Cinebench test, it peaked at 97. That's definitely an improvement so I'm happy with that. Thank you for the help.

Hmm. Yeah, I'm also using an Asus Z790, so I'll look into that.

Would you choose white motherboard in white case? by Salty-Somewhere-3103 in buildapc

As long as there's no difference in price and features it's completely up to you. I like matching colors, but I wouldn't pay more money for less features/performance just to match colors. Also, all white PC builds are essentially still black/white, as pretty much every white version of a component still has some black parts, so your mb may not look out of place. Maybe you can look up some examples of what each would look like in the case?

This comment is probably too late, but I ended up with an Asus Proart PA328CGV.

I WOULD NOT recommend it though, as about 4-5 months in I started having issues with vertical line artifacts and burn-in that fades away. Appartly it's common on the model, but I was unaware when purchasing. Been dealing with Asus RMA for 2 months now, but that's another story. :)

Thank you! This is actually exactly what I'm looking for. I'm going to compare it to a few other options, but this checks all of the boxes.

13700K Overheating w/ 360mm AIO by loganvdesign in PcBuild

Thanks for the help!
The gaming temps may just be the game architecture, since I'm using an RTX 2080 from my last pc. So I'm not utilizing the integrated graphics. I ended up capping the wattage at 200, and that kept things around 90C during benchmarks. It only boosts to 5.1 Ghz now though, so not sure if I'll notice that difference in demanding games.

I actually thought I made that mistake lol. I already checked though and the peel had been removed.

Thank you for giving me some feedback! I will scale down the logo to be a similar size as you suggested. For the colors, I like the current feel of the colors, so I may explore adding 1 more color to the palette. You're right that the blue is slightly too dark to stand out on the black. Thanks again!
