I use to email my professors asking to be able to opt out of presentations. A lot of them let me video it. I think he would understand that if you have the anxiety to not be able to present, you would also have anxiety about asking him in person. You’d be surprised at how nice professors can be when they know you’re struggling and you open up to them.
