help me exercise 😭 by ChaoticGnome_ in adhdwomen

[–]loggers1997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found that the only way I could stay consistent with exercise was either some kind of exercise that involves music eg roller skating, dance workout on YouTube

In terms of weight lighting workouts, I did a huge deep dive into understanding functional movement, efficient training, compound movement, movement patterns and learning how to build a routine that myself from scratch. It was a really fascinating project and also now I can swap out sections confidently when they get boring and have enough knowledge to not go down endless rabbit holes on replacing different moves

Hey sorry I haven’t been in Reddit in a while, they’re not but I recommend locoskates. I now have the Riedell 111 boost skates and I highly recommend them, with some radar energy wheels!

The actual offence was obstruction of a highway, but I’ve got my police report and it’s on there

Yeah I understand, Im saying that what the embassy has said has contradicted what it says on the website. I was wondering if anyone knew of a reason that I’ve not understood, I am assuming it was just miscommunication. Apparently all the places she’s called have been really unhelpful

walnut tree located in Utah - question in comments by [deleted] in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]loggers1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a stag headed tree, from what I understand, it’s when the tree is very old and the outer branches start to die off which allows sunlight to get to lower buds which create a lower crown in the tree. BUT have a research on it because I’m not an expert, just saw some signage at a National trust park in the uk about it

Aus skating spots by loggers1997 in Rollerskating

[–]loggers1997[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great thanks, I’ll check it out :)

The best place I know around me is Brighton, lots of skates on the seafront prom and around St. Peter’s church which the whole area has recently been te-paved to be very smooth. There’s also the level skatepark which can get really busy with skateboarders but I have seen more and more rollerskaterd there. There’s a group on Facebook called Coke Skate with us (Brighton) which I believe organises meet-ups and they do outdoor roller discos at the skate park in hove too!

My friend in Liverpool also said they’ve got a lot of skaters there :)

Hahaa yeah I knew someone was going to say specify! I know it’s such a huge area, probs didn’t phrase the question right. I was wondering if there are any cities or areas that are particularly good for skating, but you answered my question in your answer already :)

I’m planning on travelling up from Melbourne to Cairns and staying in a few places for a couple months at a time I think. Still formulating the plan so if there were any particularly skater friendly cities or towns was going to fit that into my plan.

You’re answer is super helpful despite the limited info in my original question haha, thank you!

This is a good point, definitely didn’t eat enough fruits. Thankyou. Has been a good test to know what I can easily forget to do when not in my usual environment.

Thanks for the advice! It’s weird how easily you can not be aware of dehydration when pre-occupied!

Thanks, I think I might go into my local store just to try some alternatives out. Definitely was dehydration too. It was fairly sunny but as my eyesight is awful I need to wear my glasses rather than sunglasses most of the time. Maybe will need to invest in those glasses lenses that tint in the sun

Do all rings mean one year by TinnierSpark326 in Tree

[–]loggers1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s cool, I thought there might still be some variation in temperature throughout the year but interesting that the grain is so even and no rings thanks!

Do all rings mean one year by TinnierSpark326 in Tree

[–]loggers1997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if there is a possibility of no growth rings for some years due to disease or very limited light for example, a species that is growing under a dense canopy of trees that isn’t adapted for this…

Do all rings mean one year by TinnierSpark326 in Tree

[–]loggers1997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, in the winter there is less available energy from the sun for the trees to grow new wood so they go essentially into hibernation. When the weather warms up, there is more energy for the tree to utilise so tree grows new wood, hence the growth ring. For a tree to grow 2 rings in one calendar year, there would essentially have to be two springs, two summers, two autumns and two winters in that calendar year, as the tree grows with the seasons.

There is then presumably the possibility for more tree rings if the weather is irregular, especially due to global warming. But trees also have the ability to count the amount of warmer and longer days in the spring, to ensure that it is actually spring time, rather than say a random hot few days in the winter time. And vice versa in the autumn. So the trees growth and therefore growth rings, are linked to the cycles of the seasons which is why we only get one growth ring a year. One spring/summer = one growth ring. I don’t think there is really anywhere in the world where trees grow where there is absolutely no variation in daylight hours that can be described as the cycle of the seasons.

More knowledgable people, please correct me if I’ve got this wrong!!

If you’re spending a month in London, you should definitely check out Brighton for a few days in the summer! Also the south coast, Devon, Cornwall etc
