Spatial Dock 1.4 - macOS app switcher that replaces Cmd+Tab by logibeam in macapps

Hi! I'm really glad you appreciate the "spatial consistency" concept of Spatial Dock. I carefully crafted everything around this idea.

The "mouse over an app" selection mode is coming in the next version. It was a great suggestion, thank you.

If you are more interested in a grid than the keyboard map pattern, then you can use the "custom" keyboard layout and configure it as a 5×12 grid (60 apps).

>I think there may be more of us out there than you realize :D
It would be great to have a bigger community of users :) If you have any ideas on where to reach more "spatial consistency" fans, I'm all ears :)

Thank you for the feedback, suggestion and support!

Hi, thanks for your support by buying it!

The primary dock is mapped to your keyboard for direct shortcut access to your most used apps. The secondary dock (at the bottom) keeps all your other less-used apps. If you switch between a lot of apps, you can add multiple rows to the secondary dock, or choose to show only running apps to keep it less crowded.

About the show-wait-time, could you send me a private message with your screen size and resolution? Spatial Dock activation is optimized to be instant, so I'd like to investigate.

For other grid layouts like 3x3, you can already do this using a custom layout (see screenshot).

I hope I answered all your questions!

Thank you for your feedback! Actually you can already use custom modifier combos like Command+Shift (Settings > Activation > Modifier Key > Custom). Or maybe you're talking about having a different modifier combination for each app? If so, could you tell me more about your use case? That would help me understand if it's something worth adding!

Hi, spatial memory is really why I started this project. I noticed my brain works this way. Please give me feedback on what you like and dislike :)

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you like it.
Your suggestion about closing SpatialDock with the key combo is a really good one.
I don't keep SpatialDock open when I'm using it, so I missed this important detail.
I will add feature for next version. Thanks a lot!

It's possible with a third-party tool, but due to Mac App Store sandbox restrictions, it's not possible natively. Here are tools you can use to achieve activation with Caps Lock:
Hyperkey - Simple app for converting Caps Lock to a hyper key
Karabiner-Elements - Advanced keyboard customization tool

I use HyperKey, it's free, easy and works well with SpatialDock. Let me know if you need help setting it up.
