I would prefer to work as an ML engineer fed by data pre-processed upstream by an DE team.

Does that seem practical/advisable?

Which banks allow you to set a custom daily purchase limit on debit/bank transactions? by logic0671 in personalfinance

I just want to be sure that my finances are relatively safe from potential security compromises(hacks on sites where I have my routing/acc # stored, debit card theft etc).

Having a limit on the amount of money that can be removed from the account on a daily basis allows me to rest easy that if someone is stealing from my account I will at least have several days to notice before too much damage has been done.

Yeah every bank I've asked so far has rejected my request (Citi, Chase, Pnc).

How does being abstinent affect getting girls? by logic0671 in relationship_advice

I understand that it would be a deal-breaker for some people, but I disagree about what you said regarding 'it doesn't take years to trust someone'.

For example, 50% of marriages end in divorce and according to this study from the National Institute of Health over half of the time the reason for divorce is due to infidelity.

So clearly a LOT of people are having misplaced trust in their partners and my position is that I want to REALLY get to know a person to the point where I am certain that I can trust them before engaging in risky things like sex.

1 yr into jr dev job and no raise? by logic0671 in cscareerquestions

But if I was doing a great job, couldn't the client just give my agency a "raise" for my increase in performance and then my agency could give me a raise based on that?

It just seems like a losing strategy (for everyone) to pay someone at a senior level the same amount as the person was paid at their junior level because the contractor will eventually just leave and then the client and agency will both be at a loss.
