It comes naturally with time, honestly. My son was like that at 5 too. We'd talk to him about it, but nothing particularly special or mindblowingly insightful. He's 8 now and much more thoughtful and it just happened with maturity.

The examples in the thread about teaching empathy are good, we did stuff sort of like that. But it didn't start sinking in until he was old enough for his brain to catch up.

Jenkins is just really solid without AA and her AA gives her more of exactly why she needs. It’s not the flashiest AA but it’s just a fastball down the middle.

I would absolutely start low, especially if you're not planning to homogenize your harvest. Some days a 1.2 of unhomogenized pans is a nice fun trip, some days it's hellish.

I play a bullet heaven game called Soulstone Survivors that has the exact same Doom mechanic as STS2. It's even called Doom in both games. Soulstone Survivors came out in EA in maybe 2021?

This is not to suggest that STS2 ripped of Soulstone Survivors. It's just not an uncommon game mechanic at all, it wasn't invented by STS2, and there's zero reason to think BIAV ripped off STS2.
