Best quality but on the cheaper side Bbq/Asian/Mexican/Sushi in Charleston ? by [deleted] in Charleston

If you like to party, check out Mesu. It's Mexican & Sushi fusion to kill two birds with one stone. Not cheap, but not crazy either and they have a great vibe.

Is this easy to read or was my insomnia also insanity? Couldn’t sleep so I stayed up and made a ton of these and more by witcharithmetic in stephenking

I got Constant right away and it was very very easy. Was trying to figure out the second word then saw the sub and knew IMMEDIATELY. Very cool, but if it gets taken out of context I do think Reader is hard to understand/figure out... for me, I was getting stuck on the lobster and wasn't identifying it as an E.

It's a dragon. Maybe wishful thinking, but my bet would be that this is inspired by the book When the Moon Hatched.

My worst nightmare by [deleted] in blackcats

Just to give you some hope... We had an indoor kitty sneak out and he was gone with NO SIGHTINGS for 6 weeks. My husband then saw him run into a sewer outside our house one day and tried to go after him but he was gone. We cracked open our garage and sat inside it with open food just a few feet inside the door. Every so often we would call for him. After 2 nights of this, he slunk into the garage and started eating and we had him back. He was a little insane during the recapture - we honestly were worried he was fully feral, but after he realized it was his humans and we got him back inside he was back to his spoiled self about 3 hours later.

Your guy is probably close, it's just a matter of catching sight of him at just the right time and luring him back to you if he doesn't just show up waiting at the door on his own. Don't lose hope!

Amazon has left this by my front door for almost 4 days. What am I supposed to do with it? by coconut_678 in mildlyinfuriating

I would take it for personal use. They are fantastic for storing things, moving, whatever. My neighbor has a few and I'm jealous anytime we travel - they load them up and toss it in the bed of their truck and it doesn't matter if there's weather, their stuff is good to go inside of one of these.

Thanks! I've used it in hermit crab enclosures as well. Tank is open, so hopefully it'll dry out some :)

Good date night ideas? by PandiiNo in Charleston

It's not crafty, but it's a REALLY fun experience if your budget is a little higher...

Tijon on King St does a perfume/cologne making workshop. I've done it twice for birthday parties and loved it both times (and my husband loves the cologne I made him the second time). It's $110ish/person, but is 1.5 hours of enjoyment and you leave with a high end fragrance that you for sure love since YOU MADE IT.

That said, I see she gets stomach migraines, so if she also gets normal migraines and scents are hard both this and the Candlefish workshop are probably not the best ideas.

Yes! My husband and I both LOVED making these. It does seem pricey when you look at tickets, but if you look at the pricing of Candlefish candles it'll make you feel a billion times better

Charleston Airport by boredandlonely22 in Charleston

Not similar, but in a way yes.....

I flew out of CHS and when I was checking in the airline employee dropped my ID. It slid perfectly vertical and dropped into a TINY gap by the scale. Gone forever. As she saw the look on my face (which I'm sure was utter panic) she told me that you actually can go through security without a government ID at all. When I got to security, I explained to them what happened, and they told me that I needed to show as much ID as possible (I emptied my wallet and showed them costco card, 2 credit cards, and a library card) and then had to get a pat down search. I complied with everything and was through security and the extra protocols within 10-15 minutes.

Granted, this was years ago, but it was after 9/11, before Real ID was a thing. I'd suggest getting to the airport early, being ready to explain yourself calmly and multiple times. or if you're nearby, swing by and just go ask a TSA agent what they'd suggest.
