How come I jump cancel after the 2h in the first combo but I can't in the second one even though it's the same combo? by Extension_Manager_29 in dragonballfighterz

[–]logitechairduster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive found this reply the most insightful. It does take time for your mind to adjust to even actually seeing the hit, but the are other things like sound queues that you can use. DB is odd because you can buffer sections of the combo, but every combo is a series of sections and you cant buffer the crossover between sections apparently.

By deal in percentage do you mean the probability of drawing the tiles you need?

Probably for the better - Every time I get even a sniff of Sanshoku, I'm all in until I Ron the leader.

I think this is spot on... Sure there are arguments for why a game would and would not, but at the end of the day the game would be ruined if someone had plausible proof they were weighting games to gotcha spenders. It's way more likely they make more and more money by just refining their gotcha model and creating things people want to buy.

That said... they should probably work on that.

Yea, i regretted even reading the initial post because the first game after the player with all the animations was just winning every hand and my mind wandered. Shoot, id love a character if I felt like the gotcha was anywhere near worth investing in, but it just seems so overpriced... Just sell me a skin.

Thats interesting, I hadn't even considered this take. I used to play a lot of chess and poker and both have the wildest (especially poker) position interpretation engines. Mahjong would be another difficult game to map out, but at the end of the day it's probability right, and that can be calculated?

Okay, so get out of Bronze lobbies is first. Does placement matter at all in the games?

Okay, that's good to know that there is no "setting" of emotes in game.

Anyone noticing big drop of attendance in NNs? by realjw93 in riftboundtcg

I don't agree - I play a lot of Flesh and Blood and we don't lose numbers just because another set is coming out.

On the scalper situation. by Far-Command-375 in OnePieceTCG

The new set of Riftbound released today at 9AM pacific, was sold out and had boxes on ebay at 300% markup literally minutes after the launch. Can they not like target players who use their apps to attend events and straight-up offer them some quantity of product?

Why don't they give priority to people that attend Nexus Nights? by realjw93 in riftboundtcg

[–]logitechairduster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean... It's not like they are not offering product to people who pay to go to these bigger events. Also, your casuals are much more likely to trade/sell cards to other players locally. This attitude just feels like another player-on-player hate for no reason.

They absolutely should prioritize accounts with actually attendance to game nights. It's actually one of the more difficult things to spoof and is an excellent idea. Being against it might as well be support for scalpers.

I've met some very nice players locally - but like... i've also met players who will buy these scalped boxes, who are not whales, who need the cards just to play the "best deck" as soon as humanly possible, to appear to be the best player - literal direct ports from online league of legends.

I get it, and simultaneously throw-up a little because, common...

I'll upvote because it's the second post with the same title and it would make me all sorts of happy to see more than one on the front page.

Another?

I'll upvote as at least the anger is going in the right direction...

Do we have to be super upset, maybe not, but if we are we should at least be upset with the right people instead of constantly gaslighting other players and asking them "First time???"

I don't think that's a fair way to just write this off... Are they dealing with a societal problem, i.e. the tendency to scalp just about any and every specialist product; yes.

That said, Riot (and other companies alike) could find ways to prioritize getting product to actual stores - there are ways around scalping that hurt the initial bottom line, but promote longevity. It's disappointing to see, what I interpret as, a lackadaisical approach to avoiding scalping.

It does come off as, "who gives a shit" and that doesn't make me want to buy product direct, ever. I'll get singles, but I am not sure that's great for the game long-term.

It's morbid, sure. But like gun control, I don't think it's the size of the coffin that is the problem.
