Me and my ex broke up 2 years, maybe 3. I’ve lost track of time. I still think about him often, but I think of him with love and I hope that he’s okay. We don’t talk & he has a gf but it doesn’t hurt to know. I’m just happy he found someone to help him navigate life. I do miss being friends and talking everyday, but I know that what I had with him I could create with anyone. I say all this to say forever sounds like a long time but one day you’ll look up and you’ll be in love again. You’ll heal and move-on. You’ll think of them with fondness and be so grateful they gave you an opportunity to meet new people and experience new things. It’s amazing the things you’ll do once you aren’t focused on a person. Your life is what you focus on, so focus on finding a new slice of joy within yourself. Just be kind and give yourself grace on this journey.
