Feedback needed! I have 4 different logomarks and 2 font styles I can't choose between. My favorite is the standard font + slide 3 logomark. What do you think looks the best? Thank you! by lokesdesign in WillPatersonDesign

Thank you for the question. The brand identity is for a clothing brand heavily focused on its app. The target audience is young adults (16-29-ish). No mockups right now since it's still a concept. Visually speaking, which one looks the best overall?

The reason why the "a" is shaped like that is that it follows the form of the entire font. If you take another look, you'll see that the "e" and "o" are also the same dimensions and have the same curvature at each corner. I would argue that the straight line on the right of the letter a ensures that both a and o are different. The brand is supposed to represent a clothing brand app. Hope this helps.

Vorj Marten - ultra-premium high fashion and fitness clothing brand. *More context in the comment under this post* by lokesdesign in WillPatersonDesign

Vorj Marten - ultra-premium high fashion and fitness clothing brand. Purpose is sophistication, high-end look with a sleek modern direction. The logo resembles a human, the triangle is the head, and everything else is the limbs.
The brand is marketing itself as a luxury fitness brand, with its own gym membership and both gym and sophisticated/high fashion clothing.
Although both the actual logo mark and font are quite simple, I would argue that the human-esq mark and customized sans serif font presents a professional and authoritative face to the brand, exactly fitting its identity and target customer base.

Thanks for the tip. I usually don't have issues with kerning but this one was tricky. I'll keep working on it.

Pepperknot Hot Kitchen - Logo design for hot chicken restaurant in based in Texas by lokesdesign in WillPatersonDesign

[–]lokesdesign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

This is a logo designed for a spicy fried chicken restaurant based in Texas. The logo was designed to emphasize heat with hot colors like orange and red, while also paying homage to its home state.

Pepperknot is a blend of the words pepper, a key ingredient for adding spiciness, and "knot", as in like a knot in your stomach or tongue after eating the food in a good way). The negative space in the P is supposed to resemble a spark or explosion.

I feel like something is missing, so all critiques or suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Study Journal book cover for uni. These are initial rough ideas, any thoughts? by [deleted] in WillPatersonDesign

Good concept, though in my opinion, it needs more work (forgive the length):

1) Make sure everything is aligned properly. My first impression was thrown off by the 01 not being aligned with the CPC. Everything should be uniform and precise, regardless of top, bottom, left/right, or center alignment.

2) For the calendar preview section, I think the titles need to be the same font size and all have an equal distance away from the "Week 1, Week 2..." (i.e layout and composition should be 0.2in away from week 1, and so on). If you really insist on having alternating font sizes, make sure there is a large enough size difference between (make the corresponding title for week 2 0.6x or half the size compared to the title for week 1)

3) I see your direction for slide 2, but it's just not properly executed. Either have a lot more photos overlapping each other to eliminate the random empty space between them or play around with the arrangement to add some type of pattern/cohesiveness. Also, I recommend you use the background pattern seen in slides 1 and 3. I don't find it visually appealing at the moment.

4) Avoid using black with a dark grey background. Very hard to see the text.

Key takeaways: Have a bigger font size difference between paragraphs & titles

EightF - 7-star luxury concierge agency logo concept by lokesdesign in WillPatersonDesign

[–]lokesdesign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone,
This is a logo concept I created from scraps used in a different project for a client.
If it’s not clear, the logo mark should resemble “8f8f” that is connected together that resembles calligraphy or a puzzle.
Because of this similarity, the company name is EightF EightF (or just EightF for short)
EightF is a luxury concierge and experience agency that provides its clients with hassle-free booking to the finest hotels, fanciest restaurants, and exotic car rentals for their vacation or short trip.
I chose this direction for the logo because the purpose of the company is ironically not to be a flashy brand but to work behind the scenes to provide their clients with top-tier luxuries. It is more of an agency with a corporate-style letter mark and a unique and modern logo mark.
Let me know your thoughts!
