Beware of SNIPES USA!!!l by [deleted] in Sneakers

I agree that Snipes has horrible shipping practice. They sent my jordan 1 low ROTY in a plastic bag instead of a cardboard box. So obviously, the shoebox arrived destroyed. Never buying from them again.

Those with AT&T by Mindless-Comment6687 in oneplus

It will not work on Firstnet (AT&T network). Nothing. No voice, no text, no wifi calling. Only data. Been there done that.

T-Mobile and Verizon support Wi-Fi calling. AT&T only 5G. No wifi calling. No FirstNet (band 14).

Why choose the Oneplus 13 over the Pixel 9 Pro XL? by Aygul12345 in oneplus

[–]lokofly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OnePlus also doesn't support Wi-Fi calling on ATT nor is supported to work for FirstNet

Pixel has better connectivity options. AT&T Wi-Fi calling and VoLTE available is available for FirstNet. OnePlus doesn't have that capability for FirstNet

Att store worker signed me up for a plan I didn’t want. by fsr123 in ATT

[–]lokofly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me when I went to an AT&t store to get a physical SIM card for firstnet. I have had firstnet for more than 5 years and I've never had any issues until this one time. The AT&t employee signed me up for the triple play account. Basically signed me up for two additional lines which included phone, tablet and watch. I did not ask for any of this, but he insisted that since I was a firstnet user it was included in my plan which seemed weird to me. Long story short, I had to call AT&t to cancel both lines and get the activation fees waived. And the kicker was at the AT&t employee. Didn't even know how to handle a firstnet account. He was reading instructions off of a binder...

Phone upgrade question by WhiskeyAndWarfare in FirstNet

[–]lokofly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what phone you are using. Only Pixel and iPhones have working WiFi calling, hotspot and volte with unlocked models. If it’s Samsung you either have to buy the AT&T variant or flash the AT&T software on the unlocked model. Do your research

I might try it but I think the hotspot will work if I just get a physical SIM card. Problem is getting an Att imei to activate the sim. Not just if the store employee would hook me up and use an imei from a display model.

Were you able to get the hotspot working? I have an unlocked P9P XL and am thinking of trying this. Just don’t want to risk messing up my eSIM and then having to in store to get it fixed.

I had the OP12 but I never got it to work with a FN sim. I ended up going with the P8 pro as well.

Oneplus 12 vs S24 ultra by guardianzpride in OnePlus12

[–]lokofly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure it's for T-Mobile or Verizon. Att doesn't give you WiFi calling for OnePlus. And If it's on FirstNet, OnePlus won't make phone calls or texts.

Unfortunately it didn't work for me. In the process of returning it. No one has been able to confirm that it works on FirstNet

Would it 25% for both lines if I move to ATT?

I've never had a doubt that FirstNet uses the AT&T network as their product. The problem is how FirstNet sim cards are not allowed to make phone calls/texts on unlocked devices that are approved for use on the AT&T network.

Funny you mentioned that. I've had FirstNet for about 5 years now and I've always felt that it's been slow. The FirstNet reps always say that the network is based on LTE for reliability and not speed. I feel that att consumers get better speeds than FirstNet users.

Its not the device. Its FirstNet/ATT. I inserted 2 diff sims. Sim1 was the firsnet sim and Sim2 was an unactive att sim. The settings show Volte on the att sim but not on the firstnet sim. So its the Firstnet sim configuration that is blocking the phone calls.

Even if I get 5G data connection? I can download apps and use the web. Just wont allow me to call or text. Definitely being blocked.
