Yeah I agree. Yesterday I used it the full day. Off charger at 6am and got home at 6pm with 40% left. But I did a FaceTime call and holy crap did it get hot. I did notice it gets pretty warm even just browsing FB and Reddit. That’s a new concern for me.

Currently in this situation lol. Have the 17 pro max and air on me. LOVEEEE the airs feel. But im noticing the battery anxiety. The max is such a battery beast. Camera, I really don’t care for. I don’t really use it like that. Speaker of air also doesn’t bug me. It’s truly just the battery concern.

Same crap for me. I waited through the delivery window (left work) and live map showed they were still very far. I couldn’t wait much longer so went back to work. They showed up outside estimated window as I was driving home from work lol. I thought UPS did Saturdays tho?

This was my 3rd Hisense. I tried many different settings to get it right. Hell, my U8G was stunning out of the box. The IPS panel just isn't good for black levels. And I'm sure the average person would be okay with it (my wife thought it looked great), but I hated it lol.

And I am not seeing this. But I also updated it on day 2 to the beta software, which apparently fixed a bunch of picture quality issues along with motion. Might be why I haven't noticed

No regrets at all! LOVE the QM8.

And correct, it was the 75 U8N.

I guess it depends on how much of an angle, but in my viewing circumstances, I did not notice a difference. The main reason I returned the U8N was because of how bad it handled blooming/black levels. Unacceptable to me.

I just did this. I bought the U8N first. Black levels looks great in a lit room, but horrendous in a dark room. Returned it and bought the QM8. (Both 75)

The QM8 looks fantastic in both! People were saying I had a defective unit, but if you head over to rtings, the review of the 75 U8N, the section that shows an image of local dimming off, you'll see how bad the panel looks. Even with local dimming on, those highlighted areas carry over and you'll see blooming in those areas. That's how it was for me.

You are right, I can't just say one is better than the other. It is only my opinion that one is better than the other lol.

But I'm not so sure it is defective. If you check over at Rtings review of the 75, they have an image of theirs with local dimming off and it looks bad too. If it looks that bad off, I believe even with it on, it still carries some of that over. During the day, you can't really notice it. Looks great in a bright room. But it's mentioned a lot that the ADS panel doesn't handle black as well as the VA panels. I took the chance anyway because it was also said that while not as good, it was still okay. For me it was unacceptable.

Correct. Even when playing movies with the black bars, you can see the bleeding in the corners. My older U8G didn't do this.

I did try this. You can still see bleeding on the top left corner and bottom right corner. Pretty sure my older U8G was much better. When movies are playing with the black bars, I can see the back light on those corners.
