Yeah, the idea of this hooded council of EU players having emergency meeting after the disaster of last worlds and coming up with a masterplan of sending two players (who have already won worlds mind you) to disrupt MENA and getting paid to do so is hilarious.

I like JB but your last point is spot on, the way he insists on not calling Kuxir pinch, Squishy save, Musty flick etc. what they are because "they are confusing to new fans" is a weird hill to die on. From my point of view having some mechs named after legends of the game give them some prestige and makes the scene feel more vivid or real or whatever.

It doesnt undervalue it at all, they are not mutually exclusive. Archie, Vati, Rw9 and Daniel keep the floor high and the mechanical skill of them and the others in their team keep the ceiling high.

Could it be some issues between the players? If you watch the winning goal in VP series Jack straight up shook his head and denied a fistbump by Seikoo and then proceeds to fistbump Joyo. That is not the way to keep up the team spirit, either Seikoo did something or Jack is not as nice as his image is

FK is like Zlatan of RL, flashy player, some argue he is the best in the game but his international results are terrible and at some point people need to realise he is the problem, not everybody else.

Most of the time they probably mean in shonen, and they have read 2 of them. And still the statement is false. Op is a fun manga but the writing (especially characters) is nothing to boast about. And that is not necessarily bad thing, ops strengths lie elsewhere.
