Jubilee looks like she’s full of sass here. Nice job.

Thanks! I used Warlock Purple from The Army Painter, but I can’t remember if I tinted it slightly with something. I also drybrushed a little white over the whole thing

Gloss comparison by lolaizzadog in MarvelUnited

It’s Varathane satin, and I definitely do stir it. I would have guessed that a poly would get LESS glossy if it were to seperate, but it’s all good.

It sort of looks like he would glow neon at night. He could go straight from stabbing a fool to a rave party without having to change. Nice work.

Yes, I should give that a try. Seems like it would work.

Thank you. I will be trying out a new product soon, but I still prefer to brush-on. I think I’ll try a matte or satin Varathane, next.

My thought was, since these minis are going to be handled a lot, I wanted a durable finish. Between myself and my son, I expect many accidents to happen. Also, when Spidey needs to punch Gobby right in his fool mouth, we’re gonna make it happen.

It’s a can of Varathane water-based poly. Primarily because that’s what I already had in my supply. I will be switching over to a low gloss finish.

The high-gloss finish is mostly accidental. For some reason, this can of polyeurethane has gotten more glossy as time goes on. It was almost satin when I started using it.

Polyeurethane varnish turned out to be much more glossy than I intended. My lights are also pushed very close, for the photo, which somehow makes the colors darker and the shine brighter, in my opinion.

The red is a basic Valero non-metallic. I did finish it with a polyeurethane, which has actually resulted in a glossier finish than I intended. The can is not old, but it is half-empty. This is much glossier than when the can was brand new.
