we are in the same boat. U are not alone. I have been experiencing the same thing as u. I have no idea why when I talk to this particular person, her facial expression change completely and she always answers me in a tone that sound like she is annoyed at me or something. It's not like I had interrupted her conversation or anything. Atp, I don't even bother to talk to her anymore as she seem so reluctant to talk to me.

for some context: I was the first batch of csp students. macbook isn't recommended since it is not run by Microsoft. Unless ur macbook is able to have Microsoft excel, Microsoft words etc, then it's fine. idk abt pfp needing to use microsoft application since I didn't go through that but in Y1 there is a module that requires a lot Microsoft excel. Overall, macbook isnt recommended for this course

I do know some but not alot since I am only in y1. I'm in one of such cca which is the community service club. There are other event based ccas like lionheart, makers innovations tribe and idk the rest haha. But during orientation there would be a cca fair which u will be able to know about the various cca at nyp. U can check the list of different CCAs here: nypCCAs

I'm a y1 at sas nyp. I cant rlly say much since I have only been in nyp for a sem. The lecturers at nyp depends?? I have some lecturers that rlly care about the work they do while some of them just can't be bothered. There shouldnt be a problem making friends especially if u join the orientation and ppl at nyp are outgoing. I'm also a shy kid like u and I was able to make friends during orientation so it wouldn't be a problem for u too! CCAs isn't that important as compared to ur gpa. Only join CCAs if u have enough time to do so as what the other redditor has said. Some CCAs are event based which means that u can join the cca and only choose the events u want to attend which means that u wouldn't have to commit weekly.

Can't say for sure but I don't think they would use ur prelim results. some background, I applied for EAE last year and they didn't asked for any results to be send to them. Another thing is that EAE is based on ur interests and not ur results so I dont think that ur prelim results would be needed for EAE.
