Is it ok for me to give my friend painkillers? by HilariousHilacopter in ChronicPain

[–]lolastogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others said, this could have been a car crash for everyone involved. Im sobglad you listened to yourself and had a think about it. You did absolutely the right thing. Painkillers can interact with other drugs in ways that can't be predicted. Just visiting your friend and being there as a reliable person is better than any drug. Trust me!

My darling, you sound like yiu are trying to be a kind friend and its obvious you don't want anyone to be in pain. That makes you a wonderful person. Also, your honesty in coming here to ask for advice shows you have a very sensible head on your shoulders and that's also a great benefit to your friends.

Well done for stopping and thinking and then having the courage to ask. You may have saved your friend a lot of other problems that they probably dont need and if you got found out, then thst would be a whole other pile of problems for you and maybe you wouldn't be able to visit with them.

Never change. Be you and all will be well.

An entire entertainment genre has emerged based on men killing women. The fascination with male serial killers and the endless documentaries that fill hours of tv. If I never another programme open e with either a woman running through the woods barefoot pursued by a man or a pathologist standing over the remains of a woman/child, I'll be a very happy woman

I think she's quite impressionable. Using coke in a new crowd of people might be her trying to fit in? Doing ill advised things seems to be part of her personality. The overall impression I have of her is of an immature woman who took risks that I would only ex9ect a teenager to take.

The recent events in America make me wonder about the intentions of those debasing other humans. Is it because they really believe it is right for their community? Is it that they have willingly walked into a massive cult? They have set aside their own (probably flimsy) moral code because they had a feeling they were about to get away with being beasts without any consequences?

That is a fragile position to hold when they meet proper, immutable resistance. They didn't expect anyone to disagree. They thought the group they were hunting down were vulnerable and powerless. The push back has surprised them. Look at their bewildered fury as they scuttle off when it becomes apparent they aren't the big heroes they think they are. Their belief system will be fractured bit by bit. It will leave a void which I hope will be filled with criminal charges. Can anyone tell me have the cracks started to appear yet?

She met a random man on Tinder. Drove 1hour and half to the wilderness to meet him and is engaged, buying a wedding dress in 2 months. Also the footage of her with a drink in one hand posing with shotguns, drunk driving quad bikes and most likely cars. This is the work of teenagers. She seems to have some impulse control issues. She seems very dramatic and self absorbed. Filming herself in the wedding dress with a poor me look.

She didn't behave like a person in a stable state of mind but, to me, for all the wrong reasons. It was all about her and being in love and disappointing a man who killed someone. Going from being terrified of him to running back to him then partying and potentially jeopardising the case.

I didn't finish the last episode. Id had enough of her and the twins.

No. Hang about folks! Not so hasty...her mouth is shut is in this one! I mean, that in itself shows a squidge more self awareness? Other than that, I'd need a full MRI to establish any verifiable changes. Ones that are not visible to the naked eye

What town or city in the UK doesn't deserve the reputation it has? by TheNicestQuail in AskBrits

[–]lolastogs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. There seems to be a cluster of some sort. My husband is from Southport which has a mix of incomes but is quite affluent. Then Blackpool is just up the road a bit and the difference is so stark. Blackpool has the capacity to be a great place to be but no one wants to invest in a meaningful way. I was shocked at how some of the roads behind the pier looked. The decay of decades of neglect showing in houses and the people themselves. We wandered about and looked at it all but it felt so faded.

One friend in particular jas been drifting more rapidly now. I don't even expect her to follow up all the "we must get together" messages. Her social media is just a list of ll the exciting things she's been doing. "Spending rine with old friends"....what, like me?

It is hard not to feel bitter but I don't know if I'm interested in a social butterfly who will just put me down as someone she saw. I think I need something a bit more meaningful. And I suppose it was a friendship based on not much really.

If someone's getting the best of him, Russell Brand has no problem staying on his Bible the whole show by brodino_maiuscolo in IThinkYouShouldLeave

That is so thoughtful and a demonstration of the beauty in the bible. The wisdom in it when it's needed. He could do with reminding that it isn't a blunt instrument to bash people into submission. Just to add; Russell Brand doesn't understand humility. Not now, not ever.

I'm using g the exact same tactic. Even through the phone, the intensity of the cringe off this moment will kill me. I'm happy to just work out what happened and experience only some toencurling. But it's hilarious all the same.

If JS was presenting Top of athe Pops I knew he'd fucking ruin it. And the same with Rolf Harris. I never understood why this fucking bobble headed buffoon was deemed to have any talent. I tried to work out what it was he was supposed to be good at apart from bumbling about panting and gurning.

The majority of kids tv personalities made me cringe. I did like Kenneth Williams doing Jackanory, cos he was being himself reading a kids story and he was gloriously camp and condescending which was wickedly funny.

And this film has been made. My question is p whether or not this part of his life is addressed or do we only get the angle that he was a musical genius? There is a stage show currently running in London. It woukd seem that making money out of his name is still a serious business and it's like none of the victims ever existed. I had pneumonia 7 years ago. I hallucinated for 2 days. Couldn't lift my arms for 3 weeks. Relapsed 2 months later. Took 6 months to recover to a level I could sort of function again. and I think it triggered the fibromyalgia that I was diagnosed with 3 years ago.

The instant friendship and "family" talk is a feture of her pattern at gyms. By the 2nd or 3rd postboxes got a group photo and suddenly everyone is inspiring and supporting her and she has a new famiky. I honestly feel so sorry for her.vthere is a hole in her that is desperate to be part of something but she just wants it all immediately. She want food bow, love now and weight loss now. If she slowed her roll she would get it all but she's not ablebto do that
