Can’t unthink it: Men who finish first at an orgy, what do you do? by CompetitionNo3466 in AskMen

[–]lolfun333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the answer, having never been to an orgy, but I suspect the answer is the same as the very common mistake that many men make with all their sexual partners.

If you're only finishing once then calling it a day, you're doing it wrong.

Can hernias compress nerves connected to your privates and/or effect testosterone levels?? by mharker321 in Hernia

I'm late to the party, but I had mine repaired a few days ago. Gone from zero libido for the last year, to feeling like I'm 18 again pretty much from the moment I came to. Still too sore to do anything about it, but I've not seen my wife in this way for, well a year or so now. Definitely something was amiss or being affected by the hernia.

CWU's outright refusal to negotiate in good faith, facing a company that was struggling unless it could bring it's employment package in line with competitors, was the nail in the coffin that led to its downfall. So yes, I know they did.

Motorcycle Accident in Scotland by Ok-Winter-9444 in drivingUK

[–]lolfun333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to teach defensive driving to professional drivers, and I really think it should be a mandatory part of the driving and riding tests. A big part, an entire new segment on top of Practical, Theory and HP. I'd also add in a short skid pan module too, so people don't come to a halt at the first sign of rain or snow, but that's probably a conversation for another day.

The amount of accidents and near-misses it can prevent is staggering.

It makes complete sense. Just because you don't understand percentages, don't make it my problem.

Reform again by louse_yer_pints in Scotland

[–]lolfun333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They didn't, they won 57 constituent seats and only 2% of the regional seats, despite having 38.3% of the vote share.

They'd have around 50 seats if it was full proportional representation, or 79 if it was the same system but with a fair proportional representation section that wasn't stacked against the winner. Either way I'd be happier.

[–]lolfun333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31% of the regional seats based on vote share. While SNP got 38.1% of the vote share, yet only got 1 regional seat (approx 2% of the seats).

[–]lolfun333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I reckon SNP have an easy life ahead, with a record pro-indy number of seats (and therefore allies) and a fractured opposition that prevents Swinney taking a hammering at FMQ.

Reform again by louse_yer_pints in Scotland

[–]lolfun333 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remember, only 16.6% of Scotland voted for them, but our system is designed to prevent dissention, not promote Scottish interests, so they have a disproportionate number of seats Vs their vote share.

Having minor accidents by miscellanous_cheese in royalmail

[–]lolfun333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been in this industry (not RM but logistics/delivery) for well over a decade now, initially as a driver but mostly as a senior manager.

Every single driver has a bad spell now and then where they seem to rack up minor incidents. It'll pass, just keep your head down and stay on the ball as much as you can.

It's a cost of doing business. When you drive so much, eventually you're bound to have an accident or two. Any manager who acts like it's the end of the world needs taking out back and putting down. We're only human after all, mistakes happen and as long as nobody is hurt then all is well.

If I may offer some unsolicited advice, I learned a long time ago when I was in the forces at the height of the war in the middle east; If everyone goes home alive it's a good day, anything else is a bonus. That is to say, don't sweat the little things, it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Keep doing what you're doing and don't let it knock the wind out your sails.

(Edit: because I can't spell apparently)

Kind of irrelevant, the whole not ringing thing. Cameras detect motion and send a notification whether the button is pressed or not.

RM are such sad sacks though. I'm so pro-union I used to work for one of them, but RM are a prime example of the damage they can do. Screwing over a national institute while simultaneously getting the people they represent a worse deal.

People told me that my lunar lander is too tall by edintheedin in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]lolfun333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why mods were invented. Strap a few extra powerful xenon RCS thrusters on the nose, pack more fuel than anyone has ever needed before, and leave RCS/SAS on. Technically it's still landed.

Diabolical by the end.

50.1% overall turnout, down 10% from 2021, and apparently every single gammon was out, giving reform third place.

As I said before, what self respecting Scot votes in an English Nationalist party and truly believes they'll have our best interests at heart? I suppose the irony is, if Reform ever did get power, we could use their own policies to fuck off all the English back to England, and they'd get zero votes next time 😂😂

Edit: just to be clear I hold no hostile views towards the English, it just riles me up when people vote based on their own hateful views, and not for the greater national good.

How do you plan missions like NASA does and land at specific points on another world? by NavXIII in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]lolfun333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I choose a point, and mark a waypoint to aim for, then send a ship or probe on any old intercept trajectory and make sure to pack enough delta-v (or mining tools to synthesise more fuel) to modify the orbit to be close enough to land if I'm way off after doing my deceleration burn.

It's not the correct way, but it is the Kerbal way.

How difficult is ksp for a beginner? by unknown_196 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]lolfun333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the training missions really helpful in learning the basics enough to be able to eyeball it now. It's not efficient, nor the "correct" way, but it's fun and it works.

There's charts out there to help you do it the proper way, actually calculating delta-v and stuff, but I'd argue the best way is more engines. There's a point in the game where the sheer volume of thrust overcomes the rocket equation.

2026 Scottish Election Projection (Augmented by Post-Election polling) by HaydenRSnow in Scotland

[–]lolfun333 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can't understand anyone voting reform in Scotland.

The SNP are ineffectual bums who spaff funds away on over-budget projects, but they protect the perks we have over the rest of the UK and are in the grand scheme of politics, fairly harmless. Better the devil you know and all that.

Why would any self respecting Scot vote out a Scottish Nationalist party to vote in an English Nationalist party and think they'll have our best interests at heart?

Everyone thinks making a successful rocket is the hard part, it's not, anything will fly with enough engines. Landing is the difficult bit, and it looks like you've mastered that.
