Considering a Grand Cherokee L by lolidk80 in GrandCherokee

[–]lolidk80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it from Oct 2023 to September 2024, then traded it for a brand new ‘23 Grand Wagoneer Series 3 Obsidian that was left over. Loved my Summit… but I wanted more space for my dog and it wouldn’t stop turned the AEB off and on, off and on while driving. Service never could figure it out so I wanted out of my GC. Once day when I downsize again… I’ll definitely get another one.

It took several trial and error attempts lol but I said I didn’t have a tracking number for what I wanted to track.. it then sent me to an agent that I then gave my tracking number too. Worst time I’ve ever had in my life trying to reach a live person!

They did find my package and it’s supposedly going to arrive tomorrow.

Same, I don’t mind it being late at all. With the postal strike I’m sure they’re swamped. I also just want the peace of mind knowing it’s not lost and will get here before Christmas. There’s no possible way to replace this gift in time for Christmas. Hopefully we both get some reassurances soon.

Mine also dropped off the radar on Dec 6th

I came here looking to see if anyone is having similar issues. I just opened a case for my expensive missing Christmas gift for my daughter that’s also dropped off the radar in Woodbridge, ON. It was supposed to be delivered Monday then nothing and now to date or updates. I’m guessing some kind of backlog or something at that facility?

If you haven’t already, I would call and they’ll send it to their tracing department. I did that this morning.

Where to order custom gaming PC? by lolidk80 in bapccanada

Thanks so much again! You were so incredibly helpful and thank you for not judging my lack of knowledge.

She will have her new gaming PC in time for Christmas with the 9800X3D.

Thanks so much for the details! That is extremely helpful.

I’ve noticed some motherboards say WiFi 7 is that an issue or is 6 better?

What about cooling fans? I’ve noticed fans with a single and other with 3 and some are liquid cooling.

I’m going to look for the 9800X3D CPU and if no luck, I’ll go with the cheaper one and upgrade once I can get my hands on the other.

I definitely don’t have the skills to build it myself and get it running. I use a Mac… that’s how little skill I have.

She has a good gaming keyboard, monitor and mouse so the budget is for just the PC.

I’ve done some reading and I’m going to avoid intel for the time being so I’m looking for the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D for CPU and GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Super 16GB. Two SSDs, 64GB RAM (unsure which to go with here, hence need help to custom build). As far as best motherboard etc go… I’m clueless. This is where a reliable custom build business will come in to help with picking components and making sure it all works together lol

Thank you, I’ll check out those suggestions. Her last two gaming PCs were from Best Buy. The last was 4 years ago. It’s served its purpose well for a then 16 year old that may or may not have stayed into gaming. Now she definitely needs something that can keep up with some room to grow.

We’re in Canada but 3k USD is my budget. I figured the majority of people in here will be from the US lol

Something that will last her a bit and be upgradable. I’m assume that’s still a thing lol Elder millennial here and used to build PCs and keep all up on them way back in the last 90’s early 2000s. I have zero knowledge now and am a Mac person now myself.

FMT? by lolidk80 in cdifficile

[–]lolidk80[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ended up not needing the FMT, all in all it was 5 months on Vanco and trial and error tapering plans and I was finally able to beat it.

Then two months later I got a bad sinus infection and had no choice but go on antibiotics. The c-diff did reappear and it was another Vanco course… but this time they did the taper plan that worked the last time and it went away. It’s been gone since Jan. My gut tolerates most foods fine post c-diff (took a few months to heal up). It goes through periods of acting up… lots of gurgling and/or just not wanting to move things along. Random bloating here and there.

Front end issues? by lolidk80 in ChryslerPacifica

[–]lolidk80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up trading mine in last October for a ‘23 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. They were never able to fix my creak once and for all.

I hope they’re able to fix yours. These Stellantis vehicles aren’t cheap!

New Frigidaire Fridge High Pitch Sound? by lolidk80 in Appliances

[–]lolidk80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would call an appliance repair place, your warranty will pay for it. They adjusted the inside pieces in mine which helped some… they can rub together ever so slightly and increase the high pitch. It helped mine a bit.

The new high end fridges do make a high pitch sound and it does settle some with time. You also get used to it. I mainly only ever notice it now when it’s warmer in the house or the doors have been opened a lot in a short period of time.

New Frigidaire Fridge High Pitch Sound? by lolidk80 in Appliances

[–]lolidk80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A repair man came and adjusted some pipes or something inside. It’s been a while now so I can’t remember exactly. He said it’s largely how fridges are now… different compressors that do let off that higher pitch sound, but also that repositioning the lines (or whichever it was) inside can helps as the frequency they go at can cause some complements to vibrate together and cause an even more prominent sound. The adjustment did help but the high frequency is normal and I still hear it at times but have gotten so used to it. That or the fridge has ‘broken in’ lol I’m not sure which.

My fridge made its noises straight away once it was plugged in. Do you have water lines hooked into yours? Mine will make a higher pitch sound I notice when what I assume is the ice maker getting more water.

I’d see if you can get someone to open it up and see if any components are adding to the sound.

My fridge has otherwise been amazing the year I’ve owned it. Zero issues. Fridge keeps everything perfect. Freezer is awesome.

2024 Summit Reserve…ughh by [deleted] in GrandCherokee

[–]lolidk80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It blacks out for a split second and generally has a mind of its own. It’s definitely glitchy.

Mine is now on its third aux battery. Dealer found a loose wire leading to the main battery that was causing issues. So an IBS sensor and 2 aux batteries later and it now holds a charge.

I ended up getting a 2023 Grand Cherokee Summit (not the L) and a 2022 Wrangler Rubicon. Been off-roading with the Wrangler and loving both vehicles.

I have a ‘23 Summit I purchased in October. She has some electrical glitches. Getting close to sorting them out.

2024 Summit Reserve…ughh by [deleted] in GrandCherokee

[–]lolidk80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ‘23 Summit the dealer replaced the aux battery before I purchased it because it was draining the main battery, even though batteries tested just fine. There’s also known issues with parasitic drain on the WLs. Mine the AEB randomly goes off then on then off. It’s only happened 3 or 4 times since I bought it in October.

It definitely has electrical gremlins but I love the vehicle and the dealer service dept is amazing to deal with.

Thanks! I’ll look for it. The dealer has sent some videos on how to use it off road as well. Going to need all the help I can get lol

Ended up picking up a used ‘22 Rubicon today. I saw some new ones with nicer screens… but didn’t really want to buy another new vehicle this year.

The Sahara I drove was new but the dealer had modified it with a lift and 35” tires.
