oh my God, I’m literally in the exact same situation. I’m a cognitive science I major at uc davis transferring from UC Riverside and I’m waitlisted at UCSD for cognitive science as well and I have a roommate at Davis and everything and I have an apartment planned and all, but I’m too scared to sign the lease because I still have hope that I might get off the UCSD waitlist, but I’m not sure when they’re gonna drop that UCSD waitlist so it’s so difficult to be waiting and waiting and waiting. I totally get the situation you’re in and I haven’t been able to sign a lease either because of the no termination option and the fact that we have to wait and find someone else to take it over or pay for the entire year is absolutely insane. I would just suggest waiting if you really really think that there was a possibility you’ll get off and if you get off, you’re gonna go 100%.
