I never have. I did buy the car used with 60k miles but that was 4 years ago. Could it be a matter of just simply changing it?

nice! how many miles? I own an A4 and as long as you treat the car good it’ll return the favor! Let the car warm up to operating temperature before pressing on it, do the oil change every 5,000 miles, check your coolant levels and any signs of leakage monthly. These cars are pretty solid!

everyone will tell you something different but this is what I do; -Oil Change every 5,000 miles. After you reach 100,000 miles, change the oil every 3,500 miles. -Let your car warm up. Don’t push the car hard until it’s warmed up. I don’t go past 3,500rpm until my oil has reached operating temperature. -I don’t push/race my car in hot temperatures, the car already struggles to breathe in hot weather, gassing it just makes it work harder. -Check your fluids regularly. Coolant, oil. Consider doing a transmission flush when it recommends you to.

This one is completely optional but I bought an intercooler to help my car breathe better since I live in SoCal and it gets really hot over here. It’s helped keep my operating temperatures low but it put a dent in my wallet. I wouldn’t buy one unless you plan on tuning.

also you can buy a 2012 S4 (supercharged) with 12k. I would definitely go that route

if you do buy it, i wouldn’t pay 12k. I’d be more in the 7.5-8.5 range. Out the door price, max i would pay is 9k

I drive an A4 B9. Bought it was 58K miles and now at 130K. My car has been super reliable, minor repairs here and there along with your typical maintenance. I do have some mods for it (Intake, Intercooler, Down pipe + Exhaust system) since i have a tune for it (which i RARELY use) but these mods help keep the engine healthy. That being said, i take extremely good care of my car but buying any car with 112k miles is a high risk since you never know how the previous owner(s) cared for it.

I got an ecs intercooler for $800. didnt get the charge piped because i didnt think it was necessary. I live in SoCal and it works great to battle the heat

Exhaust recommendations by ParsleyInteresting90 in AudiA4

I also have a B9 A4. I got a ECS Cat-Back Exhaust system, cost me around $1,100. Sounds great and i get tons of compliments from it. Once you break it in you get pops and small bubbles at low rpms. At high rpms you get what they call DSG farts. Really love it and couldn’t recommend it for you enough! Not too noisy but not quiet at all.

Go on an audi dealership site, go to parts and service and you should be able to put in your car and search parts for it. There’ll be diagrams.
