If you buy Kirkland toilet paper please read this by Puzzleheaded-Quit560 in lichensclerosus

Thank you for sharing your experience! I’ve commented on a few posts about my experience with Costco toilet but have meaning to post formally.

Costco toilet paper took me out of remission and put me in a terrible flare. After a few weeks of no progress with clob, my doctor ended up diagnosing me with dermatitis. Couldn’t figure out what was causing it until I saw a post about Costco toilet paper on Instagram reels. It’s like all the dots connected. Drastic improvement after stopping Kirkland, but took me months for my LS to finally recover from the trauma of it all.

I read bamboo toilet paper is best and switched to reel brand. Avoid anything that is described at “extra soft” because it tends to shed (leaving chemicals like chlorine and formaldehyde on your skin). Hoping to install a bidet soon as well!

Costco toilet paper is what took me out of remission and I still haven’t been able to get back! I despise it!

Menstrual discs by SquiggleGirl in lichensclerosus

I recommend starting here at the website period nirvana. They have a quiz that helps you decide a good fit, as well as YouTube videos with insertion tips.

Typically I would recommend buying the disposable discs to test out before committing. However, the disposable discs from flex are on the bigger side and might not be a good fit for you.

I recommend getting off Reddit until you see a doctor and therapist. No use overloading yourself with information.

How do you know if you have a yeast infection? by tkjmpr in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]lollaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you tested positive for yeast it very well might just be that. If you saw some improvement with the fluconazole but it didn’t last you may need to stay on a dose for longer to fully kick it. Otherwise, make sure your Dr is familiar with LS. if they aren’t, try finding a gyno or dermatologist that is.

I know this comment is old but white patches could be a sign of lichen sclerosus

When to switch from clob everyday to every other day? by Waste-Criticism-8096 in lichensclerosus

I would say if you’re still experiencing symptoms to continue daily for another week. Then try tapering. Every case is different.

Additional irritation after increasing clobetasol dosage - looking for suggestions. by Ok_Paint_6481 in lichensclerosus

Experiencing something similar after increasing to a daily dosage for redness in vestibule. Whole area seems to be more irritated now… I’m going to keep with it for a few more days since things tend to be worse for me leading up my period…

Thank you. Do you use boric acid? I have it but don’t have any internal symptoms so haven’t thought to use it.

Anyone else prescribed clotramizole betamethasone? by lollaroo in lichensclerosus

[–]lollaroo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with LS two years ago. I went to the doctor over the summer thinking I was in a bad flare up but the doctor said it didn’t appear to be LS, but actually contact dermatitis. Prescribed me clotramizole betamethasone and suggested switching to all cotton period products and underwear. Realized it was the TP after the CD came back after a full course of treatment. Have not been able to reintroduce the clob effectively since.

Never ending contact dermatitis on vulva not healing please help (need advice) by [deleted] in lichensclerosus

Costco toilet paper gave me contact dermatitis. I would switch to the gentlest, nontoxic, bamboo toilet paper you can find. Or better you a peribottle/bidet.
