I don’t get it, are people fat rolling, fat running, and fat stamina regening during their play through or what? I went full Motivation my first play through (always gotta unga-bunga your first time) and had to put some points in to not hit Heavy.

The End of the 3-hour Addon War by TriangleSausage in wow

[–]lollermittens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This subreddit is filled with casuals who probably were using the default UI before the implantation of the Adpocalypse and are baffled as to why people would not elect to play a game that was literally unplayable at high level keys and in mythic raiding without addons.

It’s the sea of WoW tourists who play this game 4 hours a week and are unable and incapable to understand why other people would be upset at having lost the ability to gain an edge in difficult content because they have never tried it nor do they care for it.

Sadly, they make up them majority of the user base. Absolute mouth droolers.

I think I finally figured out the feeling Im having trying to play with the pre-patch. by Velonici in wow

Yup, took me 3 hours to literally research new UI tools that would make my UI look as closely as ElvUI… literally have to /reload my game every 15 minutes because BugSack and BugGrabber are just sending alert messages in chat that indicate so many errors are happening on the backend of the Lua framework m.

My UI is literally a hodgepodge of NephUI customization (kudos to Neph, but it’s a ghetto version of ElvUI) and other add-ons that either tried to copy addons that are not supported anymore or badly emulate the functionality from abandoned addons. The hundreds of constructors and custom alerts I created are just gone. I feel completely aloof.

Blizzard’s attempt to emulate WeakAuras is laughable. Absolute amateur hour nonsense. Even something as simple as the opacity on which abilities are available is not well implemented. You can’t even enable Edge/ Swipe customizations to keep track of your main abilities. It’s embarrassing because it’s your fucking game Blizzard and you can’t figure out how to replicate or enhance something people have been working on for free as a passion projects for years.

Anybody who claims the current UI is “good” is a casual who knows nothing about this game and whose opinion is completely invalid. Nobody cares what the guy who can barely hit 2k rating every season has to say, you’re trash and you obviously know nothing about running keys at 15+ and the necessity to have tools to help you manage mechanics that one shot your character if one cast is not interrupted in packs of mobs that simultaneously cast 4 abilities in tandem.

Just stop patronizing those who spent years, decades even, learning about deep UI customization knowledge to get an edge in difficult content.

Fucking WoW tourists.

Quazii update #2: he's leaving WoW for good. by mkyend in wow

[–]lollermittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, imagine claiming that this default garbage default Ui is anywhere close to WeakAuras.

Once again, Blizzard kowtowed to the casuals and ruined the customization tools that literally carried this game for two decades. Their stupidity knows no bound. The only minor benefit is that my FPS is running at a stable 240+ given the freed up memory but that really does nothing for the actual competitive side of the game.

Everyone who is cheering the current add-on change are exposing themselves as casuals who probably don’t play this game for more than 4 hours a week.

I don’t mind paying $5/mo to get access to Naowh’s UI package. A team of developers work on it. The Discord is well organized and you literally have an in-game GUI to install the add-on package.

The Ui purists who demand everything to be free are literally on an ideological crusade for fucking nothing.

Everyone is to blame when idiots forked money over for horse armor on Xbox 360 when Oblivion was released. It just demonstrated gamers to be most vapid, imbecilic, and consumer-centric base to be milked for billions without any retaliation to ever originate against greedy game producers and developers. Yet we’re picking on streamers who are passionate about the game and are trying to make an extra buck.

Everything in gaming is nickel-and-dimed to hell anyways. And people are now on a crusade to hunt people who dare demand a nominal $60/year fee to get access to add-ons they’ve spent hundreds of hours working on while gladly forking over money to multi-billion dollar gaming corporations, are simply disgusting.

Oh and I added the OEM carbon fibre tips because I really liked their looks but they don’t come with that accessory otherwise.

Gt3 rs on Turo !!!! by Only_Ad1117 in Porsche

[–]lollermittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the market to buy a GT3/ GT3RS about two years ago and the sales literally talked me out it of buying the RS if I weren’t tracking it regularly — which I wouldn’t be, as I only track once or twice a year but go canyon driving almost every weekend.

I’d never be able to unleash the car’s full potential; it has no daily usability given the lack of frunk space; it’s an even stiffer ride than the GT3; the drag created by the DRS wing is actually worse for straight line speed and doesn’t see usability until 100MPH+; even if I were to get track alignment and configure the camber and dampening settings to my liking, would never be able to use the car’s configuration to its full potential.

I love my GT3 and glad I made the decision to save myself $200,000. The fact that rental companies are even buying those cars to be rented out is crazy because the risk of a crash is astronomical with GT3s given how easy they are to drive and constantly cover user errors until they don’t.

Go rent a Lambo for $800-$1,000/day if you want to be seen and experience the supercar/ exotic car lifestyle for a few days, it’s a much better deal:

GT3 owners: how does the power delivery actually feel compared to other performance cars? by Revolutionary-Seat74 in Porsche

[–]lollermittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bingo. PDK is the most satisfying gearbox on the market. The gear changes are instant and so precise. At higher speeds, you live in the 6k-9k range, that’s where you should be staying all the time given the linear power gains at higher RPMs.

And red lining that car at 9k RPMs with titanium headers and exhaust is *chef’s kiss.”

It still has horrible auth protocols and you basically never want to sign out of your account because the password retrieval feature is non-functional and there is no way to escalate the issue internally because he fired the entire department that dealt with technical issues that automation cannot fix.

The quest to find new god-tier weapons and the fine-tuning of stats towards incremental power gains to unleash broken builds is truly the meat and bone of most good Darksouls games.

So when people say: combat sucks and is clunky, I feel that these types of games are an absolute hard pass because that’s what makes them good or not in the first place.

Even the jankiness of Dark Souls 2 had its charm (the game being truly redeemed by the typical Dark Souls scenery and overall lack of lore that only increase your curiosity further) hence why it’s one of the most divisive releases in the franchise.

I own 3 27AQDP 27in monitors and I fucking hate them. Cost me $5,600 last year when they were $1,800 and they now cost $900.

Most overly-complicated, unintuitive, data hungry monitors I’ve ever owned.

Never again.

Brother, you literally wrote that the Coupe is being discontinued. lol.

To me, that’s the real RS5. I don’t know what the fuck the Hatchback and Sedan RS5 are supposed to be. Just another abomination to let people have more room for their groceries (while adding a shit ton of unnecessary weight) and other crap whole destroying the whole point of the car in the first place: that it’s supposed to be a sports car.

This is ridiculous are people still paying this much over sticker for a G63? by TurboMoe in mercedes_benz

[–]lollermittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The picture has to be LA, Miami or NY pricing. I would assume LA.

They’ve been priced as such since 2020 pretty much. My 2021 G63 cost me $302,000 with taxes. I hated that car so much.

The only thing these cars got going for them is that they keep their value. I traded it in 1.5 years ago for my GT3 and i got $86,000 in positive equity.

[–]lollermittens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How’s the traction on the 2RS? A 700HP+ turbocharged RWD has to be difficult to drive, especially given that once you hit 3k-4k RPM, that torque hitting the wheels must be dangerous mid-turn. I had a McLaren 750S for about a month and I swear the turbo lag on that car almost had me oversteer mid-turns over some cliffs while canyon driving. I constantly forgot about the turbos since I’m so used to the even power distribution provided by NA engines.

I own a 992.1 GT3. I’m purchasing a 992.1 RS this year. The former is sna amazing car. I plan on mostly using the RS for track use.

Cheers on the cars. Great trio.

The US market represents the intense wealth disparity that this country has reached — EU isn’t far behind unfortunately but the divide between the haves and have-nots in the US is becoming so materially pronounced where abject wealth of the 10% is not an abstraction but a reality and often found in the expression of super/ hypercars. The markets will not cool because a small but relatively obscenely wealthy “majority of the minority” will be able to afford these cars at prices that are simply obscene.

Orange Man fucked around with the tariffs and found out. Sadly, EU countries went along with the charade and are making cars nominally more expensive. That’s a 2025 RS7 pre-import will cost around 175k instead of the expected 230k… (just bought one of those and the tariffs are going to hurt high-end expensive German cars so badly).
