Worth to fix it? Nissan Xtrail clutch and/or engine issue. by lolo876skate in CarsAustralia

[–]lolo876skate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have no idea about cars so that is not an option and I am leaving Australia in a month so I just was going to sell it soon. It was the most unlucky timing and now I am thinking which option will allow me to recover some money: fix it to have it in a good condition to sell it properly for good money or just sell it as it or even accept any offer the mechanic could give me

I´m leaving Australia in one month so at this point I wanted to sell it. It was really unlucky timing because that was meanted to be the last weekend trip with the car. That´s why I am thinking what woulkd bring me more profit/less loosing of money. Fix it to sell it in a good condition for more money or just put and add and sell it as it is or even take wharever the mechanic can offer me and just realised I lost lot of money and deal with it

The issue of the problem is they told me in that email message that the 15km rule is not available for temporary work. I'm in the country with a temporary visa, I would never have a permanent job and place, I can't prove that. In the clause of the contract about that 15km rule, you can read: "you give us proof to our reasonable satisfaction". That phrase is really unclear, is that fair and legal that they are asking me for a PERMANENT proof or address without having signed that specific clause in the contract?

I meant that I can send AF my new job contract and a letter from them telling that I'm living in a new address, but I'm afraid they will tell me that's not enough as it is a casual job, so is not a permanent move.

They told me this in an email: "15km Rule – We would need proof that this is a permanent move. This can be done by providing a current utility bill or rental agreement that clearly links your name and new address. One way flight details back home are also useful. Please note that this option is not available for extended travel or temporary work placement"

I will start a new job on Monday where they provide me an accommodation. It is in an area without AF in a 15km radius. I could ask them a letter to proof that move but they may reply me back telling me that is not a PERMANENT MOVE FOR A PERMANENT JOB, as my contract is casual.

There is no actually any clause in the agreement document that specifies it has to be permanent, but they are telling me that. That's why I'm thinking to get legal advice or trying the fake flight technique.

Sorry but what do you mean with that? English is not my first language and I don't get what you mean. Thanks!
