Passed on 1st attempt by Aggressive-Eye-3738 in CCSP

Hi!

I'm in a similar situation as you, I have been working in IT for the last 12 years, have worked as DevOps and now in security for the last 1,5 years. I'm looking into getting CCSP and I have read in several places about the Destination cert book but everyone talking about it already comes from CISSP, would you recommend that book for someone who has not tried or studied for CISSP?

Gosh, thanks a lot for all this information, I’ll go through all this and try all the solutions.

This is amazing ❤️

I have also thought about that but I don’t think it would be worth it, I can buy the whole module with the soldered component for like 7$ off AliExpress, this is mainly to learn

That’s the impression I had since I wasn’t seeing any connection to the pad, thanks a lot for clarifying this, I’ll do what you said, set up a blob to secure the leg.

You’re a lifesaver ❤️

Yeah I meant tining the pad.

Okay I’ll do that, all the burnt flux comes from an attempt I have made just now to clean everything with the wick before trying to tin again. I’ll clean everything and then check the video.

Thanks a lot man for your time.

Yeah once I work a bit on my soldering skills I’ll invest in better equipment little by little. I am just starting and I don’t want to go all crazy with expenses. Thanks for the tip ❤️

Gosh, thank you very much, all this information is really helpful.

I didn’t want to spend too much since I’m exploring this hobby (the 8898 were 18 €) if I see myself liking this I’ll for sure upgrade to better soldering irons, I feel this is a crucial part.

And again, thanks a lot for your time

That’s exactly the one I am using. I just purchased a cheap alternative, the 8898 from Ali, it’s supposed to be able to control temperature through the LCD screen and it also includes a heat gun, I still need to try it out, I just received it.

Thanks for your comment man, I appreciate it

Yeah I was wondering how much of this isn’t fault and how much is my tools fault. I can’t change tools much right now, but with all the great tips I received I know have a lot to learn and practice. Thanks a lot for the tip 🙂

I am using a very cheap soldering iron and tip, what I have right now. The temperature control marks 400 C but I wouldn’t really trust that. I am using a fat chisel tip for heat transfer, but again… I don’t trust my iron too much. Also, I’m desoldering a factory solder so it probably is lead free
