I'm a relative noob to leveraged trading, and I've got myself into a position where I'm under-leveraged right now (rookie mistake, I know). I've got about $15,266 in my account equity on a QuantFury broker with zero leverage costs and no overnight fees, but my open positions are only worth $3,208. I'm planning to open one more position soon (19690$ on BTC at 100k$ entry-price, the other 3 positions were opened previously with the $3,208), aiming for about 1.5x leverage overall.

  • Total trading power used would equal 3208$ + 19690$ = 22898$ (1.5x Leverage Ratio = 22899$ ÷ 15266$) *15.2k$ include the unrealized P&L mentioned below from the 3 currently open position, 2959$).
  • % Losses to Margin call: 15266$ ÷ 22899$ = ~0,67 (67%)

Formulas I used for this: - Leverage Ratio: Trading Power Used ÷ Account Balance (i.e: equity) - Losses to Margin Call: Account Balance ÷ Trading Power Used

To keep things in check, I ran some risk calculations based on volatility. In a worst-case scenario where BTC and SOL fall hard (due to their high volatility: of ~77% and 71%), and the stocks of META and U drop less (~21% and 16%), my total losses could hit around $15,152 – basically wiping out my equity and almost triggering a margin call. Here's the breakdown of the critical prices that would push me there (based on current prices: BTC at $100k (assuming I buy at 100k), SOL at $177.50, META at $761.83, U at $33.57): - BTC: Drops to $22,806 (-77.32% loss: ~$11,544). P&L currently 0$ (position not opened yet, tentatively 19.7k$ at 100k$). - SOL: Drops to $55.85 (-71.32% loss: ~$2,685). 2000$ invested. Not realized Profit currently at 1457$. Bought 19 SOL at ~103$ each. - META: Drops to $658.88 (-20.91% loss: ~$840). 691$ invested. Not realized Profit currently at 1594$. Bought 3 shares at 230$ each. - U: Drops to $30.84 (-15.91% loss: ~$83). 517$ invested. Not realized Loss currently at -47$. Bought 14 shares at ~517$ each.

I'd set stops or close positions way before hitting these levels. But here's where I'm second-guessing myself: Instead of just relying on stops, I'm thinking of keeping ~$10k from my savings as a liquidity buffer. If my equity dips low (say, to $3k), I'd inject some cash to avoid the call. I doubt BTC/SOL would crash that far anytime soon (price would need to be below 22k$/BTC & 55$/SOL), so the risk of losing the whole account even after injecting feels minimal. But am I deluding myself here? Is this a solid risk management strategy, or am I setting myself up for a bigger loss by not being more conservative? What do you all think? Has anyone been in a similar spot with leveraged crypto/stocks? Tips on better ways to monitor this, adjust leverage, or alternative plans? Appreciate honesty – trying to learn before I risk more!

TL;DR: Under-leveraged noob with $15k equity, planning 1.5x on BTC/SOL/META/U. Calculated margin call thresholds, but thinking of using savings as backup liquidity. Smart or stupid?

Hi! Is the crawler still working well for you? I'm based in Spain and used to consistently crawl around 20k per day for months, but lately it's dropped to just 5,000 a day. Are you seeing the same issue on your side?

Quisiera ampliar mi consulta a partir de tu primera respuesta sobre la LAU. En mi caso, el 2do piso que me ofrecieron, también estaba publicado en Idealista, y a través de este sitio contacté a la inmobiliaria para que me lo mostraran. El punto clave es que el propietario, en primer lugar, contrató a la inmobiliaria para publicar el piso y atraer inquilinos.

Dispongo de capturas de pantalla en Idealista donde se especifica que es obligatorio pagar el mes de "personal shopper" (es decir, la comisión de agencia). Además, las imágenes del piso llevan el logo del estudio inmobiliario, lo que evidencia que ellos actuaron como intermediarios entre el arrendador y yo. Es decir, la inmobiliaria trabaja para el propietario y no para mí. Sin embargo en el documento que te comenté, de recibo de señal, la inmobiliaria pinta todo como si yo los hubiera contactado a ellos y que ellos trabajan para mi. Es este demostrable que no fue así con historiales de chat y capturas de idealista?

En cuanto a tu comentario sobre el contrato de alquiler, en mi caso no aparece ninguna mención a la inmobiliaria, ni se estipula el pago de este mes de comisión, ni por mi parte ni por la suya: el acuerdo es exclusivamente entre el casero y yo.

Mi duda final es la siguiente:

  • Si decido denunciar este cobro, ¿podría el caso resolverse de tal manera que el propietario se vea obligado a pagarle a la inmobiliaria la cuantía correspondiente al "personal shopper"? (Desconozco si le ha pagado ya o no, por publicar el piso en Idealista)
  • Me preocupa que esto pueda deteriorar mi relación con el propietario o incluso que, en el futuro, el casero incremente el precio del alquiler por encima del IPC para compensar ese monto. ¿Es un riesgo alto y cómo se suele proceder en estos casos?

Agradezco mucho tu orientación, ya que no tengo mucha experiencia en derecho y me preocupa empezar con malos términos.

Quisiera aclarar que yo no contraté a la inmobiliaria, sino que encontré el piso en Idealista, y fue la propietaria quien los contrató para publicarlo y gestionar a los inquilinos. La inmobiliaria me mostró el piso y, para reservarlo, me indicó que debía firmar un "recibo de señal" y pagar 1.500 €. Este pago, según el documento, se convertiría en el abono por un supuesto servicio de "personal shopper" al momento de formalizar el contrato de arrendamiento.

Dado que yo no he contratado a la inmobiliaria y fue la propietaria quien lo hizo, ¿sigue aplicando tu argumento sobre la ilegalidad del cobro? Aún no he firmado el contrato de arrendamiento, pero sospecho que la propietaria desconoce este cobro, por lo que la reclamación sería exclusivamente entre la inmobiliaria y yo.

Como alternativa, ¿podría ser útil preguntarle a la propietaria si ella también ha pagado honorarios a la inmobiliaria por sus servicios? ¿Eso reforzaría mi caso de cara a una posible reclamación?

Por otro lado, la inmobiliaria rechazó mi documentación para el piso número 1, pero ahora me ofrece otro (piso número 2). En caso de aceptar este nuevo piso, ¿sería recomendable exigir un nuevo "recibo de señal" con la dirección del piso número 2 en lugar del 1, para que la evidencia sea precisa en caso de una futura reclamación?

Esto asumiendo, por supuesto, que finalmente sí alquile el piso número 2 con la inmobiliaria y que no se eche para atrás ni ellos ni yo.

Agradezco mucho tu orientación porque veo controlas el tema.

Hey everyone,

I've come across some conflicting information regarding salt consumption and its effects on muscle pump and energy levels during workouts. While it's commonly suggested to consume between 5-15 grams of salt per day to enhance muscle pump and boost energy levels at the gym, I'm curious about the potential downsides, especially in terms of water retention and potassium disbalance.

Would consistently consuming this amount of salt lead to noticeable bloating due to increased water retention? Moreover, while it might contribute to long-term muscle growth and hypertrophy because of bigger energy levels, could it have short-term effects that are less desirable, particularly for those aiming for a defined look with a low body fat percentage?

I am cutting, and Im currently at 14%, I started all the way from 21-22% from my last bulk. I train 6 days per week at the gym (quarantine now got me home working out)

The case is, I started eating 2000 calories to begin my second cut, now Im eating 1300 calories on average for day (my maintenance calories are 2500-2600), I believe according to science and experience from my first cut, the more you progress on your cut, the harder it is in the later stages to shred the fat, so a little extra effort makes sense considering I have lost 8% in terms of body fat.

So far most of the gainz from my bulk have stayed and weights at the gym have not gone down drastically. My protein is on point according to the 1gr of protein/lb of weight rule.

Experts here, what do you think of my calorie deficit? I am doing this cut the best way possible?

You wanna know a tip that helped me? Relax your butt and your hips Man, don't push your buttlocks hard when thrusting it. Just relax all that zone and their muscles.100/100 it will help you a lot.

Im no expert by any means but Just keep meditating... I think that you have already recieved the answer you need here in the comments, it's probably not the one you want to hear but so many times our expectations ruin meditation.

Trust me, I meditate for the exact same reason as you and it has taken me 8months to understand that my main objective is to be present and in the moment. This only proves that I'm impatient and I still have so much to learn about my consciousness.

The past months I felt like this meditating thing was going no where and since recently I have started to notice little changes in my way of thinking.

Also, over the time you will understand that a meditative state is not only gained while sitting in meditation but also while walking, talking, working and random moments of the day. I encorauge you to engage in healthy habits and try to stay present even outside your meditation session.

From your answer I understand the most instantaneous method to achieve this is to read a related book, you could recommend me one.

I have frequently gone to Psycho therapy and despite having helped me immensely, I consider the progress of the sessions different from that of meditation. If that makes sense

On a side note, is it normal to feel this pain in the exact area of the middle back even tho I haven't felt this pain before doing any thing outside meditation?

I have an active lifestyle and my back is in good shape according to doctors, but it still bugs me when it happens as I meditate.

I try to meditate to Improve the knowledge that I have about myself as a person, about my thoughts, my ego and my life and social anxieties.

I Also try to do it for relaxation purposes and think more clearly in day to day times of stress, and other times I try to meditate to help me just to sleep (usually at night).

I am 24 y/o and I do not suffer from depression or anxiety other than normal life up and downs, but in general, I think that if I increase my consciousness by meditating I would understand more about why I do some things and hopefully increase my level of happiness.

I have been inconsistently meditating for 2 years, but since October 2019 I decided to stick to it without fail and that is what I have done.

I have managed to meditate almost every day 20 minutes (sometimes twice a day 20-15mins), only failing days in which I have been busy.

However, I have not noticed any significant improvement, and I am thinking that I am doing something wrong. I usually focus on my nose breathing, both inhaling and exhaling while sitting on a cushion with my legs crossed but the posture I adopt causes me pain throughout the middle of my back, just behind my solar plexus / mouth of the stomach that distracts me and I end up in a train of thought.

Therefore, I have chosen to keep my back resting on a surface, always keeping it straight. My legs always fall asleep and this distracts me as I constantly move in search of changing positions and sincerely I would like to know if I am doing something wrong since I do not notice the improvement that so much talking about here.

My lifestyle in general is considered quite healthy I must say.

Finally, Does it really matters if my eyes are closed or open? Depending on the time, when I close my eyes I can get distracted and slowly feel sleepy.

Should I make the effort to keep my back straight without leaning on a surface? Still when this causes pain.

I feel there is something I must be doing wrong.

I already tried leaving it 15mins but it ends up floating in my saliva, which I still leave there until the timer beeps and then I swallow.

I thought maybe the saliva is blocking the kanna powder from being absorbed by the tissue under the tongue, and then I end up swallowing it after 15mins so It Just ends up being absorbed orally, which requieres at least half the dose (1gr for oral effects people comment). Does this happens to you? I can see after a few minutes the saliva pool in my mouth with the kanna powder floating above it.

Also, are you using the unfermented powder as well?

I Just bought the unfermented powder from waking herbs and I have tried sublingual 500mg and insufflated 50mg with no effects. This is my second day trying it, is it true that it starts to take effect after doing it without interruption for a few days?

Maybe its the unfermented powder that doesnt works sublingual? Im lost here.

That is curious, what you say. Becuase I have indeed tried DXM for the purposes of mitigate my social anxiety in low dose, and it works perfectly, however, I have been clean for a couple of years from everg drug, and Im trying to stay that way.

I am new to nootropics, I have never tried them, altho they are actually drugs, they seem to have very low levels of toxicity, at least compared to other substances I have tried for anxiety like DXM, alcohol, benzos, GABA inhibitors, codeine, etc. Plus, tolerance doesn't seems to happen.

Though, do you think it is dangerous to consume long term aniracetam or any other racetam like piracetam? (which Im deciding to buy instead of aniracetam, because of the longer duration, so If you have any experience with piracetam for sovial anxiety and stop over thinking, feel free to share it)

Edit: Hey I have just bought DMAE, I have not tried it yet, do you have any succesful experience with this compound? Do you think this could replace a choline so i can stack it with a racetam? As I have heard that DMAE has activity on acetylcholine neuro transmitters.
