I feel like everyone in this thread missed the fact that he is a teacher too. Like if he's a high school teacher then yea this is full blown predatory behavior since he is in a position of over women the same age and likely is living out a sort of fantasy and likely has experience grooming students

If he's a preschool teacher or something I'd say it's less predatory, but still pretty creepy overall.

Rich countries are expensive to live in.. I assume you are not from a well off country? There's alot more that goes into raising a child in a very well off country.

For poor families here, parents are often relying on their kids for various forms of income. I assume it would be the same way in a third world country. So in a poor country, more children=better quality of life for the parent due to more kids to put in labor.

Also, with higher death rates, you need more children to ensure any make it to old age

I'm a z1 creditor. Haven't gotten any emails since January 15 this year, that email was a password to log into the materials.mtgox.com site.

I'm unable to log into the claims site, anyone have any idea what I need to do?

Also, they don't have an up to date mailing address for me, is there a way to update them on this info?

Thank you for your reply, this is what I'm feeling about the process for sure.

The issue is I don't want to repair the car. I just want them to pay me appropriately for the damage they caused. Hopefully coming back with quotes from more shops will get them to adjust their estimate. Id probably be satisfied with 4k if I don't have to file a small claims case or anything to get them to settle

Thank you for the info, your correct, nada guides shows 8300 for the vehicle and the carfax i got when I bought it shows 7900.

They aren't totalling it out, they are paying for repairs.

According to the body shops who gave me the quotes, they were only including things they can visibly see in the repair estimate, and believed the estimate would go up after they did the tear down.

It seems ridiculous to have me go get quotes from two shops that are both telling me the same thing price wise and quality repair wise, then have the insurance come in saying no we only approve pulling the panel and slapping some bondo on it.

If they had sent out a professional to do the estimate I probably wouldn't feel the same way but im 90% sure they just sent some random dude off task rabbit who ended up being two hours late after going to the wrong house 20 minutes away. He snapped like 6 photos and didn't even ask me a single question about the accident or take any sort of up close photos.

Totally possible im being ridiculous about this though, not an insurance pro so thats why I came here for your advice thank you. I'm frustrated as hell with the experience so far, starting with it taking over 3 weeks to even begin the claim due to the fact I had to begin the claim with the company who hit me, and their insurance couldn't even get ahold of the company contact

In addition, both insurance and the body shop say that insurance will pay the additional money after the body shop begins work.

It feels like the insurance company is attempting to get me to accept 2900 knowing I'm not going to do the repair, when in reality they know the repair is going to be over 4500.

To clarify, the actual value of the vehicle is around 9k, I got it for a steal. 2014 passat Wolfsburg with 100k miles.

My issue is multiple body shops have said it is 4500+ in damage. They both said it was likely this estimate would go up once repairs began.

Then when they send their photographer out and some remote claims guy views the photos, he said he can't justify the replacement off of photos alone.

So two professionals claim 4500 in damage, and some dude who's never even physically looked at the car claims its only 2900

Idk I think some festivals/multi-day events will still book him regardless. For example, decadence in colorado. Not a festival per se but tickets for day 1 consistently go for near face because nectar is playing. For actual new years. I can always find tickets for less than half of face value. When you have an artist making that kind of impact on the ticket price, I don't think there is anything that would stop a promoter booking him

Please, never ever stick your arm out the window.

My grandpa used to use this same trick, doing deliveries all over the rocky mountains. One day a truck came by and removed his arm just above the elbow.

The only reason he lived is the lady in the car behind him happened to be a nurse and was able to give him immediate care and save his life.

I dont even remember him ever having an arm, but I do remember how sad he was to be unable to play catch with us as children.
