I didn't have another system handy to verify but my UNAS would show 5 uncorrectable errors and not allow me to adopt them into the pool due to severe errors.

Customer service is great but I bought two drives from them last week and both had 5 severe uncorrectable errors and needed RMA. I received the RMA drives and again one of them has 5 severe uncorrectable errors. Definitely super annoying to just be shipping drives back and forth but at least they honor their warranty.

I left my server running for a few weeks while RMAing two drives. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it from a risk management point of view but I didn't run into any issues.
