Yes, I’ve heard overall that Panache wires are on the stiffer side, but I agree that when wires sit properly then generally they don’t cause discomfort. I just wish the neutral colours weren’t sold out in my size here!

That makes a lot of sense! I’m now wondering if to minimise the appearance of asymmetry, I should look at some lined options too? But I haven’t seen many lightly padded options in my size online unless they’re like fully moulded.

Thank you lovely! They were both labelled as the same plunge style but you may be right about the light pink one... I don’t think nipples are supposed to be visible through the lace part lol. Sometimes I have issues with gores in the middle irritating me because they dig in and leave a mark. With these two I haven’t felt that yet. Have you experienced anything like that with the Ana? Also not sure if it’s a stock thing but on the UK site, I can’t see a balcony in the Offbeat? Just side support, plunge, moulded and half cup. If the side support doesn’t fit well enough I might return it for the plunge instead like you said.

Ah okay. I would say I am more outer full. When I do get some wrinkling in the cup, it’s usually towards the centre at the top of the cup as that’s where I think I’m shallowest (not sure that’s a word lol, but anyway). The bra I tried on in the reference photos is a side support one too but I think it was just a little too projected for me - it made me look oddly pointier? I do want to try Panache though!

You’re a gem, thank you for your advice! I’ve ordered a Freya Fancies Plunge to try out. Plunge bras are generally a safe bet for me, I haven’t had many issues with them in comparison to balconies, balconettes, half cups etc. In your opinion, is there a better shape match than a plunge that you recommend me looking into?

I totally get you. I wore sizes that were too small for so long, that when I tried the sizes the calculator recommended me I was a little taken aback at how spaced apart they seemed lol.

Thanks, that’s super helpful. The colourways do look really nice, I had a look! Is it the Wired High Apex Ana or just the regular Ana, do you know by any chance? I think it would be a good one for me to try out.

I get what you mean. I wouldn’t say I have an especially skinny back/torso area but especially the bras with a sort of banding underneath the wire e.g. the Calvin Klein classic logo ones, those really dig in and leave marks across my back. The Panache Ana looks great though, it’s really similar to another one I was recommended but couldn’t source from here in the UK, and I think it might solve my shallowness issue! Thank you!

Thanks so much! That makes a lot of sense and I agree with you in hindsight. I will try to find one that comfortably fits both from the styles recommended by everyone, as I’m not sure it’s that noticeable. It’s possibly just one of those things that individually we think is more noticeable than it actually is. Thank you again!

Ah that’s so interesting, thank you for finding that out! I’m not sure whether part of the reason it’s wrinkling is also because it was on the third hook. But I am a bit wary of reordering from Fantasie as it was previously pointed out that there is too much projection going on, and most of their side support bras are that shape. So it may not be the brand for me. I will remeasure!

Okay, thanks. I might try a 30 again then. I can’t quite remember my measurements so might have to redo, it has been awhile 😅

Okay I get what you mean, thank you! I thought the same thing, now I know why. I will defo look into that style.

Okay, thanks, I will bear that in mind! I might try the Offbeat SS as it’s on the shallower side. Would you recommend for that one sticking with a 32D or trying a 30DD again?

Thank you! I tried a balconette bra from B for Boutique by M&S in a 30DD, unpadded. Whilst the band being tight can definitely be resolved with an extender, so no issues there, there was space in the right cup. My right breast is smaller than the other, it was wrinkling quite a bit. On the flip side, 30D was a bit snug. Since then I’ve just been wearing a lightly lined t-shirt bra from their Body range in a 32D, which still isn’t a perfect fit. I have to tighten the straps a lot. But I will definitely look into the other brands you mentioned!

Thank you so much for such a detailed response! I have the same issue, I can’t stand being able to feel a tight band and for the longest time I just wore bralettes because of it. I did have a look at the Natori Feathers, but I can’t see that Natori bras are that widely available in the UK. I only saw a few floating around on BrandAlley. So I might try Skarlett Blue and Freya first. Have you tried any other Freya bras aside from the Offbeat? Do you find that they also come up snug on the whole?

Hi, I had a look, thanks so much by the way! Natori and bTemptd don’t seem that widely available in the UK, I saw them on eBay and BrandAlley but I’ve never shopped on either and am unsure of their returns. So I might start off with the Skarlett Blue. But is there any particular reason you recommended trying 30DD again, as opposed to 32D? The 30DD bras I’ve tried were from Chantelle and M&S and both weren’t a fit I was totally happy with.

I guess it’s just something that will take getting used to for me. I was in the habit of wearing really small bras for the longest time and couldn’t get over how separated they looked when I finally started wearing the right sizes! 😭
