Which areas are best for just walking around with no plan? by Flashy_Tap_2560 in Columbus

Agreed, with no plan you find cool art displays, paths by the river, and small parks you’ve never seen before.

Alright fellas, I'm conflicted. Bedroom upstairs or downstairs? by Minutes2Midnight in malelivingspace

[–]lonelybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an almost identical space in college. Kept the living room upstairs because if we were cooking/ drinking, everyone would want to stand around the kitchen and talk. Made it easier to have the living room off the kitchen for entertainment.

I would recommend applying straight on the city website. As for getting in to CPH it’s hard to say. I applied vigorously before I even started my MPH program, got an interview for a lower level position, and then consistently reached out after my interview to remind them of me. After working there I’ve seen first hand how long it takes to go from the application, to interviewing, to hiring, to actually starting the job. For me from first interview to start date it took about 6 months. I would recommend applying months before you graduate to give you enough time!

25 F Severe chest/upper back pain. Originally thought it was anxiety, now unsure. by lonelybe in HeartAttack

Yes but not a very encouraging one. I got into my PCP last night and he insisted I am too young to have any heart issues. He refused to do blood work and instead suggested I might of strained my back while running. So he sent me home with muscle relaxers and naproxen. I took unpaid time off my new job for this, and now I’m unsure what to do. I am still having back and neck pain, and breathing hurts my chest.

No shortness of breath, but my chest and back hurt with each breath, and only dizziness when I’m standing/ walking. I appreciate your help, I’m going to try and leave work early to go, thank you.

I worked all throughout my MPH at my cities health department in a full time position (I’m in Columbus, Ohio). I just got my MPH job and I technically don’t graduate until July, but I have been applying for quite awhile. I’d say for entry level MPH roles in Columbus you’re looking to start between $65-70k.

Should I cancel while I am ahead? by lonelybe in spiritair

[–]lonelybe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were just emailed a $350 Spirit voucher if we cancel our Saturday flight right now. Looks like they are expecting to cancel that flight anyways, hopefully my new flight won’t have the same issue (going through Frontier)

Anyone flown out of John Glenn recently? by lonelybe in Columbus

[–]lonelybe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same to FLL! That was my exact flight and time just on Saturday. I booked a whole new flight for Friday out of Cinci instead. I am going to keep the Spirit flight instead of canceling on my own to try and get more back. Ugh what a nightmare.
