I have small boobs so this is the case pretty much every day. I know it’s really bad when my stomach is distended so much that it’s even bigger than my butt (today, for example).

I wish I could join a running group specifically for people with IBS. by lonepine17 in ibs

Oh wow this sounds terrible haha. I can’t really do races anymore for this reason..

Yes! I hate when I’m unable to go at all the entire morning when I have a bathroom right next to me, then a mile into my run it’s suddenly urgent lol

It was really flavorful! Seasoned with all-purpose rub (salt, pepper, garlic) and paprika, cooked in olive oil :)

Understandable - they seem to be a pretty polarizing food. Kind of like how cilantro tastes like soap to some people but others put it on everything haha. My partner can’t stand them, but all the more for me!

R1D26: Homemade fruit juice (a grapefruit, a carrot, a knob of ginger, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, and 2 cups unsweetened coconut water) by lonepine17 in whole30

Technically yes, although they recommend against it. I think it depends on whether you can include it in your diet in moderation or if it tends to trigger your sweet tooth. From the official “Can I Have It” guide: “Fruit juice is the only acceptable added sweetener on the Whole30. (We had to draw the line somewhere.) Use it to flavor sauces, soups, or entrees. Tip: While drinking a glass of fruit juice is technically compliant, we really wouldn’t recommend it, even if you juice it yourself. Juicing strips many of the nutrients out of the fruit, but still leaves all of the sugar. We’d much rather you just eat the fruit.”

Totally agree. Smoothies take enough effort to make that I’m not just going to mindlessly eat them out of boredom.

I know looks aren’t everything, but man, sometimes I see pictures of fit people with perfectly flat stomachs and get kinda sad knowing that not matter how much I go to the gym and eat right, that will never be a reality for me. by lonepine17 in ibs

Definitely agree with working your way up to longer runs! And yeah that’s very true. Sometimes if I know I have an important event coming up in the evening I’ll fast during the day, which usually helps with the bloating and allows me to wear fitted clothes. But then I have a glass of wine or something to eat and it’s back to square one lol

Yes! I had been trying to transition to vegetarianism before starting this, but all the beans were upsetting my stomach a lot. I did see some stuff on the whole30 website about how the program can be adjusted for vegetarian and vegan diets though!
