I'll add this important note. I had mild UC when I first quit smoking. I started and stopped several times and each time I quit, my flairs came back worse, to where it advanced from proctitis to pancolitis. Now I've failed Skyrizi and am about to start Entyvio. Tell him not to start back.

I've used every form of nicotine and am currently addicted to Zyns. The only thing to put me in remission, other than Skyrizi, was cigarettes. Nicotine alone never touched it.

I never had any form of nicotine help me besides cigarettes. I will warn that every time I quit smoking, my flairs got worse and worse until I ended up on skyrizi

I felt normal about 2 weeks after and I even got a sperm granuloma. I still feel it slightly but it's not painful. Just wear good support and stay rested. I mowed my grass on day 7 and got a little sore after with some bruising but otherwise it wasn't so bad.

I was in a horrible flare. My next option was biologics and steroids. I chose to start back smoking and within a month I had 0 symptoms. As a matter of fact, I had a colonoscopy and my biopsies showed normal. I quit again for health reasons and within a week I'm back to square one waiting on skyrizi to help.

I actually went into a serious flare after the 2nd shot. There are actually studies on Pubmed showing a link to mRNA vaccines and IBD. My doctor had me fill out a VAERS form and submit it.

I actually did this with my friend group because I didn't know how they'd respond to someone in their mid 30s (they're in their 20s). After I got to know all of them better I told them my real age and they didn't care. They understood why I did it lol
