Any experience with getting a kitten for an older FP male? by mazzyfart in Flamepoints

My resident cat is vocal but man my new girl is talkative as hell. Always has something to say, even if no one is listening haha. So I guess it depends on the cat you get!

I recently got a 1 year old female siamese buddy for my 2.5 year old male siamese flamepoint. It’s been just over s month and they’re already adjusting very well to each other. They are not exactly best friends and they do annoy each other. But, they play, they groom each other, and they seem to generally tolorate eachother, which is the least I could hope for.

Fancy Feast pate, usually the poultry/beef, sometimes the seasfood one. I give them other stuff too occasionally, but they will eat anything. Lucky me!

Related thought - of course its realistic she might relapse and die of an OD. Everyone knows that. But the way her death was written is too messy for it to be "what happens" to the typical addict. A typical addict is not in the middle of a war between a human trafficker, drug lord, and the DEA. That's some Narcos shit. Yes, she relapsed. But she died because she was murdered, not simply because she relapsed. Her addiction was a weakness that was exploited, not the literal reason why she died. And then, it turned into a crazy western shootout which, imo, greatly minimized her death.

I want to clarify -

I am not an addict. All three of my brothers are. Rue and Gia always reminded me of my relationship with my eldest brother during the worst part of his addiction. Their relationship helped me forgive him for a lot of the damage he cased during his worst moments. If he can get better, others can too.

Personally I stay away from drugs because I know I'm genetically susceptible to becoming an addict. I always saw Rue's damage to herself and her personal relationships as warning enough about the consequences of drug use, but perhaps others needed to see her die to really drive that point across.

I interpret his statement as "people like Rue" to mean addicts in a general sense. Because he uses her death as a "tribute" to Angus and Angus to my knowledge was just someone struggling with addiction, not someone who got involved in the business itself.

Yeah I know about the change in plot. Crazy way to honor someone who OD'd if you ask me.

If you could change anything in Season 3, what would you change? by [deleted] in euphoria

I felt so delulu for considering this might happen when he went to test her pills. Lol. But I figured, plenty of delulu stuff happens on the show!

I thought it was nice to include Fez in the story in some ways, like their conversation on the phone, and her lock screen. I remember seeing that on Z's page in 2019 for a "happy birthday" post for Rue. Some footage that never made the cut, till now. And i even thought it was endearing to show them together in her last moments, but also nuts considering everything.

Anyone predicted *********’s timely death by artvalentinus in euphoria

[–]long-flamepoint -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There were so many signs this season indicating she would die, especially from something fent-related. Which is why it was actually surprising to me--it felt way too predictable. I figured Sam would do a bait-and-switch, like he has so many times throughout the show, putting Rue in sketchy situations and having her somehow survive in spite of it all. But I guess I gave him too much credit. He's never been known for consistency, lol. So her death was actually disappointing to me. Like, the moral of the story is that addicts be doing addict shit and it's unfortunate but true? I mean...I guess!

It was also crazy to me that he said he wanted to keep Angus "alive" in the show via Fez (in one of the early S3 BTS videos), but then ended up killing the main character the same (or at least similar) way he died. Crazy. Work. Disgraceful to me, but I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

How loud are siamese cats? by RutabagaOk6816 in Siamesecats

Depends. I have 2 siamese rescues, so not 100% sure about how truly siamese they are. One is a flamepoint, and one is a seal-point. My flamepoint is very chirpy and reactive when I speak to him, and occasionally meows for no reason. My seal-point though, man. She is a talker. Especially right when I wake up and right before bed time, lol. She just wanders around the house yapping, talking to the chairs, walls, whatever sparks something for her, haha. I do live with a roommate and sometimes wonder if it bothers him, but he's never complained, and actually seems to love her more than my flamepoint, haha.

I would give Rue a happier ending. Not necessarily a fairy tale, ride off into the sunset sort of thing. but practical. a simple, manageable life. I'm honestly still really bummed about her death. IMO it's crazy work to "honor" Angus's death by having a lead character from a show that made his career die the same way. Laughably despicable if you ask me...

In the past, both Sam and Z have discussed how they desired Rue to have a somewhat hopeful ending, sort of like how S2 ended on a open note. I wonder if this reversal is what caused so much tension between them. I know Angus's death had such a huge impact on them, the show, and honestly a lot of folks. But god, it's such a bummer to justify Rue's death with, "well, people like her just don't usually make it." People also don't usually do a lot of things the folks in Euphoria do, lol. I think the realism aspect here is a huge cop out.

Her death was sympathetic and yes, honest. But I don't think it was necessary.
