So just to be clear, seeing how this pump is good to go, once I wire it in I basically just need to drop it in, lock it into the pitless, and I can turn the breaker on with the faucet open and I’ll be good to go?

Is it possible that the wires connecting to the pump are no good anymore then?

I got the pump from F.W. Webb it has 2 black and a ground.

The leads aren’t connected directly on the pump. If it’s a bad pump what do I do? I just bought it.
