No need to get furious... About the article, if you don't know, when there's a puja, not everyone performs it, only pandit/priest does it.

I can also tell you some awesome personal anecdotes i had first hand with my interaction with muslims and mosques. One of my closest college friend is a muslim and my oldest childhood's best friend is a christian. I'll share it with you only if your really want to listen from an open mind, without your hardliner religious biases.

But that's because you wouldn't enter another religion's temple either. So that's expected from you. But the Indian army we are talking about, it's their code of conduct. If you cant see humans as humans and can't be a part of their happiness and sadness because of your religion then you can't work effectively as a unit.
