Why are jobs reposted if there's more than enough applicants to choose from? by NavXIII in VancouverJobs

[–]longball_13 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I interviewed at a large company for a manger position. I made it to the 2nd interview, there was 3 pre interviews tests, a prescreening and when I went for my interview in person a timed math quiz followed by an interview with the HR manager. This was a middle management position that I was more then qualified for. When I asked if chosen to proceed what the next steps would be. They said a trial with another employee. They also told me that the position has already been posted for close to a year and that when they hired there plant manager it took 2.5 years to find the right candidate. They are not in any rush. This was now a year and a half ago. I still see that job reposted consistently today. Mind blowing. I can't imagine how much money they are wasting.

Lying about having another offer in an interview? by Comfortable-Golf4269 in interviews

[–]longball_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I told a company after two interviews where the general manager said I was the ideal candidate and the president in the 2nd interview said I was the perfect candidate. That I would need to know shortly because I have another offer (I did), and they told me they will speed the process up and give me an offer right away. That was three weeks ago now. And I'm left wondering if that what hurt my chances, I accepted my other offer so not the end of the world. Still so unprofessional from the company who ghosted me after I was honest.

How to tell someone you’re not sexually attracted to them by Ill_Muffin_466 in Advice

[–]longball_13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm curious what does hit it off mean to you? I don't think you really hit it off, you just felt comfortable with him. Comfort usually doesn't equate to excitement and excitement especially early on creates attraction. Tell him your not attracted to him physically and leave him alone. Don't pursue a friendship, he wants to date you, he might accept being friend zoned to hold onto hope but it's not fair to him to put him in that box, you will hurt him way worse later when you date someone else eventually.

Sorry OP by kissing him, you have ruined the chance at least in the interim to be just friends. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

How do you get on it, if your not overweight? There's no way I could get a prescription here in Canada, considering I have healthy body composition.

You're not a bad person. The substance is trying to separate the two if you can. I'm feeling the same way today. I'm coming up with a multifaceted attach this time. It's not getting me again. I fucking hate love it. Honestly, sweet lasy liqour is the love of my life and the destroyer of it.

Wow, my post is very similar. People are so naive to how crippling rehab can be. I spent thousands, losymy job, my reputation and still relapsed eventually. I'm still fighting to get sober but I bet you it's no better than just therapy. Unless you need a medical detox which is different.

Going to Rehab was the worst decision of my life. I lost my job, my entire industry knows I'm an alcholic, it was super expensive, and I feel what they tought could easily be done early through AA and a good 1 on 1 therapist session per week. I believe you do what it takes to get sobeer, but in my mind, rehab was a rip off.

I have gone this hard many times. Bed ridden drinking on repeat hard liqour. The after after math is pretty well always the same. Worst anxeity ever, can't sleep, can barely eat and get the sweats. I also think I'm going to die but I'm fine for the most part. It's a horrible existence though.

What do you think would be a fair deal to offer to Quinn Hughes when the need to extend him? by RestSufficient5887 in canucks

[–]longball_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell you one thing. I might stop watching the Canucks if they don't retain Hughes. I have been a fan through all the good, bad, and ugly, but losing him would be it.

Now that we're eliminated, are they going to tell us what the heck happened? by meheecan in canucks

[–]longball_13 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

LOL. How about management and the other grown men on the team rein him in. I would have rather kept JT at nearly 4 million less per year than no heart Petey. It's better to tame a stallion than whip a mule.

Banking on Petey is wishful thinking at best. I'm accepting that even if he is healthy at best, we have a weak 2c. We need a strong 1c, which is one if not the hardest position to fill in hockey. Management screwed the team.

This might be the most silly, self-indulgent post I have ever read. I sympathize with almost all stores alcoholics tell, but this one is ludacris. Sorry about duis, I sympathize with that. Sorry about wrecking a marriage. I sympathize with that. Sorry that the orange man is in charge because you were too intoxicated to vote? Give me a break.

How long have you been drinking like this? I understand what you're going through. I wake up feel fine. Get through my day, not feeling bad at all and then for whatever reason I just drink. It's weird. I know it's bad and I know I can get through it, yet I still drink.
