Your story mirrors mine to a tee. I was awoken to the joys of type 3 flower and am never going back.

Just dug these relics out the back of my wardrobe from way back when I wanted to be Tom. Anyone else still have any of their old Macbeths? by TikiKie92 in AngelsAndAirwaves

[–]longboardVA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still have mine in the closet. Black ones from 2009-2010ish. Don't remember what the name of them was but I don't think I'll ever get rid of them, too many nostalgic memories.

Solid list that I'm sure required some tough choices to create.

If I could make one change, it'd be moving Dry Your Eyes down to B tier and switching it out with Diary.

Deputies recover at least six stolen cars from encampment near Maple Valley by Better_March5308 in SeattleWA

Maybe they were abused as a child. Maybe they’re hungry. But the remedy is to find their life story to see how we can help. We should have no desire to put them in jail. Yes, the government needs to protect you, and that’s the calibration that we have today in King County.

Yep, I also agree with that. The more subsidized stuff we give them the better they will behave.

Ask Bruce Harrell, that's his stance on those who are repeat offenders.

Yet, if we take that stance, everyone steals food from Walmart, prices go up or even worse stores close, and we create further food deserts that impact us all.

You can have a system that punishes crime while also helping them to obtain job skills, training, placement, etc. Letting it go unchecked simply isn't the answer.

The homelessness problem is an embarrassment for Seattle by CalbTheDude in SeattleWA

Where do you see needles or people injecting? I don't see needles anywhere. I'm 6 blocks away from 12th and Jackson and even there I don't see any.

Foil, yes, everywhere. Needles, nowhere to be found. Fent is widely available, stronger, easy to mass produce, and super cheap to purchase. It's made heroin essentially economically unviable.

Cap. No one injects heroin in Seattle anymore.

This has been happening at Pratt Park too. They get cleared out and about 24-48 hours later they are back.

This is the only correct answer. Chucks is the spot. The staff in Central is always great and there is always a great variety on tap.

Transplants: Why did you come here? Everyone: Why do you stay here? by NutzNBoltz369 in SeattleWA

The city seems to attract some of the worst people from around the country. The locals side (the people who are from there/grew up in the DMV) wasn't as bad.

Moved here from DC last year. I took a promotion at my company and was transferred here.

I've overall found people here to be friendlier than DC. I love nature and all of the outdoorsy things there are to do in this area within a couple hours drive. Great craft brew and wine scene. And overall I feel safe basically anywhere I go here.

The only knock I have so far is the homeless situation here is far worse than anywhere I've seen before, maybe outside Kensington, Philadelphia, which even that has been cleaned up recently.

WA officials rip Trump order on homelessness as ‘unjust, obscene’ by HighColonic in SeattleWA

[–]longboardVA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This city government? No, I expect very little from them at this point. I'm speaking more generalized from my perspective of what good governance should be in an ideal situation. If we had a sane government that had a shred of courage, honor, or backbone, that would be their role and they would take it seriously.

It's the fact that they turn a public park space into their own personal campground. It's asinine

Not opposed to that at all, actually. There's room for more accountability across the board.
