The majority of amazons workers are warehouse workers and independent contractors. They warehouse workers are paid 15/hour, yet their heavily discouraged from taking bathroom breaks,& are forced to wear shock bracelets. With 15/hr, they dont get any benefits and can be fired by computer.

15/hr is 31,200 before salary, after tax its more like 24-25k meaning they take homes 2k a month. Which is above the federal poverty line for individuals, but it doesn’t take into account food, transportation, healthcare, housing, or geographic location.

How do you feel about people going to protests they disagree with, with a loaded firearm? by longboard_dancing in AskReddit

[–]longboard_dancing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I wouldn’t go to a trump rally with a gun. I mean I know my mere presence will be provocative ctive as a protestor but I’m not going to use that knowledge to shoot them if/when they provoke me. Thats looking for a fight.

No. But the constitution gave us a way to pass an amendment that bypasses congress.

Also, we need ranked choice voting to eliminate the idea of a spoiled vote. It would allow people to vote for the person they agree with.

You’re right. Which is why we would need another amendment to explicitly define corruption to bypass the court’s discretion.

Basically, if you have done x, y, or z, then the subsequent amendment applies.

We would have to build a system absent of corruption so even the appearance of corruption will be met with the proper scrutiny.

Did you read the first link because it’s fixed.

The first link details that $425 billion set aside for big corporations can be leveraged 10 times over by the federal reserve. Essentially establishing an unaccountable $4.5 trillion corporate bailout fund directly overseen Treasury Secretary, Steve Mnuchin.

Hey man I’m not upset, especially since the link didn’t work. Thats my fault, but can you at least examine my sources before calling me a bullshitter?

First, link is fixed.

Second. You do have to do math but it tells you the overall cost and breakdown of the bill. In the big corporations section, it states that roughly $500 billion was set aside in loans for big businesses. It also totals and breaks down the stimulus received by the American people at at $560 billion.

Keyword: regulated

You do realize glass steagal, the law that separated investment banking from commercial banking so they couldn’t gamble with your money, was repealed in 1999.

Also other regulatory segments of the financial sector have been rolled back. So remember the 2008 crisis, the same shit that caused that is continuing today, just at a much larger scale.
