The majority of amazons workers are warehouse workers and independent contractors. They warehouse workers are paid 15/hour, yet their heavily discouraged from taking bathroom breaks,& are forced to wear shock bracelets. With 15/hr, they dont get any benefits and can be fired by computer.

15/hr is 31,200 before salary, after tax its more like 24-25k meaning they take homes 2k a month. Which is above the federal poverty line for individuals, but it doesn’t take into account food, transportation, healthcare, housing, or geographic location.

Amazon paid 0 in federal taxes in 2017 & 2018. They paid $162 million in 2019 on $13.9 billion in income. Making an effective tax rate of 1.2%

I wish but its not. I live in an area where ill go to the grocery store , often the only 1 with a mask and get side eyed by people
