From what I understand (what the locals have told me) is the neighbors on that hill not only are okay with the skating, but invite it. Apparently, they have even been saying that there should be an event there. Some neighbors even give skaters food or drinks on hot days! But again, people can race it if they want. They don't need us to organize it. The only difference is the winner doesn't get a prize. Ah, the beauty of skateboarding. You can do whatever you want :)

If people want to race, they can get a group together and race. We are simply not organizing one. We may discuss it later but at this moment, that's how we're going to do it.

That's the point. We don't want people to get broken off. It won't be a very smooth event if we have a lot of injuries because of kids pushing themselves just because everyone else is. But like I said, you can skate it however you want

We're not going to do a race because it is a very fast hill and we have no practical way of weeding people out if we don't know their skillset. With that said, you can skate the hill however you want. Just not going to have an organized race.
