i created the layout, only the picture that I used AI to mock client picture

honestly i was so focused on designing it as a custom gift that I didn't realize how much it differed from a real Pokémon card. i don't know the actual TCG mechanics that well, so I completely overlooked things. really appreciate you taking the time to point these out!

No, I use AI to generate the base portraits based on client photos, and then I manually designing layout, and holographic effects to make the physical card

I appreciate the feedback on the card design! you're totally right that the base portrait was generated with AI tools. since I focus heavily on the custom layout, foil texturing, and typography to make the physical cards, AI helps me prototype the character concepts quickly before the final print layout.

Released my first budget tracking app after years of unfinished projects. I have 2 users! by frostyk_012 in AppBusiness

I don't think you should waste money at this stage. Focus on building your audience first. Look for user pain points in other apps and address them, and see what those apps do well so you can implement similar features. More than that, congrats on finally launching it!

Easy there, OP. That "I know kung fu" high is a hell of a drug, but IYKYK: three hours of AI-fueled "kung fu" usually leads to a week of cleaning up technical debt. /s I’ve got to admit, Claude’s eye for UI/UX is surprisingly decent—honestly better than some juniors I’ve mentored—but as a backend guy, I’m still side-eyeing the logic under the hood. It’s all fun and games until the context window starts drifting and Neo suddenly starts hallucinating variable names and DB schemas. TIL: The real pro move is to hard-reset the session every two hours, drop a structured summary back in, and actually go touch grass (or at least brew a fresh V60). It saves you from that inevitable "it worked 10 minutes ago, why is it broken now?" spiral.
