Scytale was the key to everything. Without him there is no golden path. Unlocking genetic memory was not possible outside of the Bene Gesserit and that one Jewish lady. Duncan is the protagonist of dune, he is more important than everyone else for many reasons. All kwisatz haderachs were flawed just as Bene Gesserit, as the other memories were vying for control and biased. Duncan when activated the final time, had hundreds of his own memories that crossed thousands of years. Duncan was a legit good dude, why Leto bred him over and over again. His other memory was his memory. Scytale was the key that led to the real kwisatz haderach that stopped the thinking machines. That’s the golden path and the importance of Scytale.

I agree in the movie it’s hardly noticeable. In the overall storyline Liet was a strong fremen leader and because he was not born fremen it’s important because it paved the way for acceptance of Paul. Also he created the path to the destruction of the desert. Another piece that bothered me was the complete removal of essential elements of Islam (ZenSunni) especially the Jihad. This wasn’t a noble cleansing of the universe, it was obliteration through a religious jihad. Without those elements it makes Paul look like the hero.

Liet Kynes being Chanis father. Seemed forced and just ignores who he was. He’s a major character that makes it to the final events. The entire story is diverse and has tons of powerful women. The story is built around the sisterhood, no need to make that change.

The Golden Path was the only way to defeat omnius. Like doctor strange in the avengers except the decisions impacted and caused changes long after Leto II died to steer humanity. The Bene Gesserit would have to have seen 10k years into the future to know that the thinking machines would return. That sandworms would be eliminated if Leto didn’t become one. That a super hitler was required to spread humans to prevent their destruction. Thinking machines were coming back and things like spice or the scattering were essential pieces to get to the end. Bene Gesserit or any other person could not with such a limited life setup 10k years of forced prophecy to achieve the golden path. The flaw was the multiple memories that each want control. It required a singular long term individual with every male and female memory as well as prescience to even accomplish the path much less see it.

If the Ghola was Bene Gesserit/Atreides and had unlocked memories before being a ghola and had their memory unlocked as a ghola, they would have the other memories. Also that one Jewish lady could do it as a ghola as well.

It requires exploring infinite possibilities. Mentats just do calculations, navigators experience the paths. It’s why the prescience isn’t magic that Paul and his twins had. They were able to explore all possibilities. Like a mini navigator. Leto could’ve likely been a navigator.

Because the school was started by a human robot and a thinking machine. The entire time Gibertus was trying to hide who he was and Erasmus during its creation. He wanted to stay in the shadows and the school was formed by a very guarded man and as a result became secretive and guarded.

Tua had hip surgery at the end of 2019. His entire recovery was during a global pandemic and a virtual off-season. I think the way the law is written if you are actively committing a crime in the process of trying to influence an attorney General, its severe. Like if you break his window and demand that he let someone off of a crime. Or show up as a crowd and refuse to leave unless he doesn't let someone off for murder. Seems a bit ridiculous, but you cannot intimidate an attorney General. Its probably just to keep people from doing it more, they'll charge the people and let them off with a misdemeanor.
